Could not be happier!

Have just come back from AmD Essex with a smile from ear to ear!

The car was booked in for 10mm spacers all round, a full turbo back milltek exhaust and a revo remap.

First run on the rollers and the car was making 290bhp standard! Very impressive! I couldnt wait to see what the figures were after the work!

Well, here they are! Shaun did an amazing job, couldnt have asked for more! The drive home was amazing, going through my head was "this is what an S3 is meant to feel like!"

Below are the plots for 2 final runs plus the standard, the red line is the second run.

Nice!!! Must admit AMD do a good job. Had my A4 mapped there and was very happy. Just a shame they moved to essex.....I thought Bicester was far enough to travel LOL. What sort of price did all the work come in at?

40bhp increase...bet thats noticeable :D

Car looks awesome too!! Only thing I'd reccomend is a black rear audi badge.

seems like Top work from the AMD guys... I need to start looking into this remap business for mine!

Black rear badge? I like the sound of that! How is it done?

Wow, the looks and the power, what more could you ask for!!!

Fella they have an office in Woking as well that Simon runs so if that helps & I know him fairly well, very good at the work aswell as Shaun & co.

330bhp though man thats nice, wesley has this & I cant wait to get back into an S3 next year & Sportback I hope, but why revo as they have there own maps, maybe Shaun can advise if he's listening?

330bhp sounds very tempting! How much was it for the exhaust and map (fitted)?

Have to say mate, I am seriously loving the look your motor (and i'm not a 5dr man at all ).. That black roof and the rims look :hubbahubba: Are they a factory option?

Did you go for the Stage 2 Revo map (seeing as you have the full Milltek) mate, or just Stage 1? Good isn't it?

Thanks mate. The black roof is the open sky system and i had to get the wheels painted black as an extra charge. Well worth it though! Needs a drop of around 30mm to make the part!

Yea, it is a Stage 2 remap! Its just flys!

That is one good looking S3 with impressive figures to match.

Nice result for another remap showing consistency there, you must be chuffed. Those little "tweaks" make hell of a difference don't they?

Just got off the phone to Carl at Revo, i should have my Select Plus unit on Monday! More fun to be had!

If you have Vagcom as well the Select+ is a fantastic way to fart around creating Excel spreadsheets and graphs on output variances and stuff. Its my favourite way to waste time and get away from the house.

Vagcom! Yes, of course! I am not too verse in Vagcom, can anyone post a link for exactly which one i should get for my 2008 S3 Sportback? Would be very helpful!

290bhp standard? thats 25bhp over stock quoted power :S

But pretty standard for 8P S3s - not seen a single "standard" put out less than 280 yet.

So what does a TTS put out then when its supposed to be 275?

Dunno mate - not seen one on a rolling road yet. Think there was one at the recent Regal Rolling Road day though so the figures might be in that thread. I'd guess the same - between 280 and 295 as standard.

Hi,

Nicely done there mate.
Quick question : Do you have the power figure at the wheels ??

Thanks

I don't sorry.

Even though its now making 330bhp i can help but feel its being held back. I'm sure its the intake. It feels like it needs to free up a little, cant really explain it, does anyone know what i mean? The before and after feel of fitting a CAI, what's it like? Does it free the engine up?

I have exactly the same set up as yours - I even had the work done by Shaun at AmD (see my "RS3" thread for the full details http://audi-sport.net/vb/showthread.php?t=60133&highlight=rs3). The only difference is I have a Forge CAI as well and mine is showing 342bhp on the rollers. If you have the exhaust you really need the intake - and Forge is the best there is. The car feels like its constantly got a Fisherman's Friend in its mouth - you can feel the throughput of air rushing through the power system from mouth to exhaust.

A few miles will help too
