Hi Folks,

Haven't really posted much on here of late, but I'll be back on here again now, as Matt & Nigel are giving me the modding bug :) The A3s battery has gone flat a total of 3 times this week, which is rather annoying :keule:

So it went into Audi on thursday evening, and I've had a brand new Audi TT 2.0T coupe (manual) for the weekend!

As you can see its not the nicest looking TT in the world  In fact those wheels are so terrible, they make me feel sick :puke: My thoughts on the car:

Nice cabin, even if there are NO OPTIONS whatsoever, love the dials, seats are comfy and is great to drive. Not the fastest car in the world, the 2.0T deffo needs a map, power feels very "flat", and boy does it wheelspin.

That aside it did get me thinking about trading in the A3 and getting a TT-S, as that is a stunning little car, but then I started thinking....

A3 group 11 insurance, TT-S 19, A3 - £140 tax,TT-S....., petrol v diesel. I know they are 2 different cars, but I drive the A3 less now, and all the room isn't as necessary as I have the van for work. Anyway, its money I don't really have to spend right now, and I still love the A3, want to finish modding it, so it isn't going anywhere !!

Doing some interior mods soon including:

-Chrome RNS-E knobs
-S3 Vents
-TT Headlight Switch
-Matt's Dead Pedal Mod
-Bluetooth & SDS

Also trying to sort out how to get the rear number plate bulbs working, they looked so good at this stage:

That's it really, just fancied a posting a post :yahoo:

Cheers N8 ;)

Regarding your number plate LED's. You need to wire a 2W 120Ohm resistor in parallel to make the car "think" there is a bulb there. I have done this in my car and driven for over 100 miles at night with no problem! Hope this helps!

Hey Toby, Matt was telling me he was in talks with you about this. Have you got any pics of yours, if not could you take some. I don't like the facelift S3, but yours is quite nice actually!

I hope to be doing a write up on this and posting it up. Basically i did my mod on the left bulb. Unscrew the fitting and remove it. You want to wire the resistor in like the bulb is, across the terminals. Make sure there is space from the bulb as the resistor gets a little hot. Connect and screw back together and test!

:blahblah1: I feel used and abused. Its okay for him to come to Manchester and nick one of the vents out of the courtesy car and replace it with his discoloured one :slapped:
