Clutch pedal went down and dicided to stay there!!!

Just a quick question, my clutch pedal is down and theres no leaks under the car and the actual pedal seems fine. Theres this white clip that i found loose when i removed the dash part underneath, im guessing it has something to do with why the clutch wont work.

heres a pic, its split on 1 side, but you cant see it in the pic, sorry about the quality its an iphone lol.

Also i think this appeared as i was removing the lower dash, but not sure if its from the dash or clutch, sorry it was dark and cold couldnt see much.

dave wots the latest with urs, was it the same part that broke off? I'm worried now I thought it would b a cheap easy fix. I need to look at mine in the light couldn't see much earlier.

Got a new pedal, white clip and black plastic part for 25 quid fromn Audi dealer, how long would it take to fit or how much would a garage charge to fit these parts?

well its a **** to do & requires patients & time, its the fulcrum part to get back in place thats the shitter, namely the spring but cable ties might help there & a dry day, lol, mine was in ******* rain not nice & was extremely pissssed of with audi not helping me at all, my local stealer that is in how to fit when I was 5-6 hours from home, all they needed to do was get a technician on phone & give me some quick advice not a step by step guide, wankkkkeeerrrrrrrrssss thats why I never buy cars from stealers, actually one reason anyway.

if its not that, it could be the clutch master cylinder or slave.

My master cylinder went (the one on the pedal) nothing leaked but pedal went to the floor. there was still a bit of pressure but not much.

If its the slave, thats a hell of a job, the slave cylinder is near the gear box.

Praying its not a master cylinder!! anyhow its booked in at my local audi vw specialist, having to use the RAC to tow it there. They reckon about 90 quid labour, sound about right? I normally do most of the work myself but with teh weather and the fact its dark by thetime i finish work, i really cant be *****! lol

oh and for anyone else that has a similar problem the part numbers for the parts are

pedal a1j2 721 319 c
stopforswitch a1j2 721 332 a
mounting a1h0 721 357

The same thing happened to my s3 about 2months ago, got the AA to tow me to Mr Clutch and i got it back the next day. cost me £90 or £95 to fix. just annoying cuz where i broke down got a F*****G parkin ticket lol

Yeah mine done it about 6months ago mine done it on the Idr in Reading on a hill,got my mate to tow me bakc and fitted a new clutch pedal and clips only took about 45mins to fit,just a knuckle scraper.

They gave you a fecking ticket when it was broken down, u r kidding me!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Which african country was he from, not being racist but they all tend to be from that area of world these days.

Hey, cost 90 quid to fit and i had already bought the parts needed from the audi dealer! guess i got a bit knocked, had a few little things done as well that i couldnt be ***** to fit myself, like a droplink and some arb bushes.
