Was a cracking day, especially for us standard boys! LOL

Off to drink a few/ several beers now! Have a good one and see you on the other side!

And damn it was cold today! Even 10 coffees didn't thaw me out!

Aside from pulling over to give you a good shake, I thought i'd put middlesborough in sat nav to check you'd be ok on the M621 and thought "ah well, at least he can follow it back onto the A1" lol!!

had a great day out although it was ****** cold even with a jacket and gloves on!

nice to see everyone run their cars although it was sad to see no other non S3 there, i was the only one without the S3 badge on the back!

Happy with 230bhp really, could spend more money on the A3 to get more power but i am going to put the money into my Polo G40, cheaper to get more power out of that and its also more fun as its ****** dangerous (170bhp / 830kgs)!!!!!
 
does taking the badge of make it go faster. l need to try that. :whistle2:
 
Leon - love you're new Sig mate! :laugh: I realsied what I'd done as soon as I pulled off the M62... was tired!!! The M3 - yeah that was fun, I gave pursuit, looked at my speedo and thought wooooooaaaaa!

Yes Jamie,rang regal when i got home and there going to send me another pipe to match the one that was at the back of the engine,this way there will be more flex at the front to. Was a good day fellas,nice speaking to humans rather than screen names lol. Will have mine ready for the next RR day definatley. What was the best figure of the day then and what car??

No, i hate shopping but seeing as Tracey was willing to stand around in the freezing weather i thought it might be nice to go shopping, went to lakeland so she could spend some money on house stuff, i just sat in the coffee bar bit perving at all the Milfs!
 
Yeah i can't believe my car didn't make that stupid noise yesterday at Prosport, it did though on the way home pulling away from some lights...... Not as worried now as perhaps its been dampened enough to not be noticed outside.

Just read the GTi forum and it is funny, one high result and the whole day is ruined! LOL Wonder if its because he got knocked off the top?.... Maybe i'm wrong

Happy with mine though, 291BHP and 295ibft (400Nm).

It was rather strange to see a simple change in the Revo timings boost the power from a figure of 325 to 370 bhp!! Talk about www.iwantoneofthose.com

It certainly raised an eyebrow or two. ;)

DSG perhaps, who knows... Its a shame really as now we all are in doubt as to the accuracy of our results...

Wish i'd have known what time I was on, only got 4hrs sleep to watch 20 bazzillion Golfs on the RR! ROFL!

Aye Ben that wasnt aimed at anybody inparticular mate, it just seemed that the majority (95-99%) of them left before we were all done which some might think was a bit off form...
 
I know some guys had to get back for one reason or another (work etc). But yeah I see where you are coming from mate. I always like to stay as long as I can, as I like to see what others make (fig wise)..

to be honest nobody knew what time they would be running, the golfs turned up first so they ran first, had to wait myself:shrug:

To be honest, I would be happy with 330bhp and it did run that on my earlier run, but didn't give a torque reading so had to settle for the 325bhp print out.. :rolleyes:
The reason for putting it on again later, was to see what she made when run on the same Revo settings as Luca's (the Red ED30), so to compare..
Needless to say I have left it on them settings and it does pull A LOT better top end, plus the power and torque curve was pretty much perfect in my eyes... But 373bhp, er... I think not! :think:
 
Ben, would it be worth doing the next RR on those settings, to see if anything changes?? If it still gives 370 odd then....??

I mean, your car does pull like a train mate, on the way down there, i pulled over to let you past, i was like :scared2: at the pace of your car!
 
Will get it on a RR again soon mate, definately and will use those settings. But can't see how anywhere near 373 would be possible (especially on stock turbo and fuel pump).
It's just all a bit strange.. lol

What settings did you use to see those figures?
 
Can somebody ( try ) and put a list together of the days results?

People, can you cast your eagle eye over this and tell me if it looks ok? Seems a bit jerky lol. And wtf is that dip just after 6000rpm? cheers guys :)

I wouldn't worry about the dip mate.
Mine has one similar at about 5k rpm that wasn#t present when on the rollers at the Regal day - mine is flat lined for 500rpm which you would deffo feel on the road, so I'm guessing it is a trait of the rolling road or maybe the haldex trying to fight the road.....
 
Err i dont want to cause any concern but that dip is exactly where my misfire occured:think:
 
I'm not so sure on this count.

Every S3 that went on had a dip somewhere in it's chart, yet the cars were running smoothly. Peter did say it could be related to the haldex.

Leon - at the regal day when magnus's car had the dreaded misfire trait - trust me, you knew when the problem was there. I'd say both yours and mine were running smoothly right through fella.

I've been on 4 different RRs and never seen a dip in my "curves" anywhere - and I have the same Haldex as you lot.
I'm with Block here - a funny dip like that cannot be normal.
 
Well, my car didn't have a dip at Regals RR, doesn't drive like it has a 500rpm flat spot and doesn't make any odd noises so I'm inclined to think it's the road and not the car in this case. :think:
As far as I was aware, everyone who has had the issue can feel it and hear it..... or is that not the case?

My car will hopefully be back on Regals RR soon, so we'll see what happens there I guess.
 
Yeah im with you Jamie! Simply because im having a **** day, and im not letting it get any shitter!! :yes:

Im sure had there been a misfire or anything else untoward the chaps at prosport would have noticed? They were keeping a very close eye on every run from what i saw...
 
From what I've seen YOU'D notice - when it happened at the Regal day the car, was coughing and kicking black smoke out the back but just in the top end of the rev range - wasn't pretty (sorry magnus!).

I'm not worried :)
In fact, your post over on s3-talk.com has got me counting my savings... I may very well join you.. :scared2: :jump:
