08 A3 SE reached 7 months with only minor stone chipping and then some deadhead opened a door on my back N/S panel :mad::mad::mad: Phoned the dentman around here and he's calling at my work today to see what can be done:shrug: Hope he can sort it.

Sorry to hear that mate - makes my blood boil.
I live in London, and the lack of respect to other peoples cars is scary.
I was sitting inthe car at Sanisbury's waiting for the better half, and I watched someone arrive back at their car. Open the rear car door 'BANG' against the car parked next to here (a Porsche Cayman no less!). Proceed to on-load all her bags in to her car. Push the trolly away 'BANG' in to another car (Mini Cooper S). She then opens her drivers door and 'BANG' in to another car (EOS).
I was speechless and was running out of post it notes to leave notes on everyone's windscreens.

Makes me sick!

Hope you get it sorted though mate.

you think that's bad jamie? I was parked up on a main street in town - two lanes going in one direction with parking bays along each side. i was parallel parked on the right hand side of the road and spotted a taxi coming up the side on my left. it pulled up alongside the car behind me and the rear driver's side passenger tried to get out but was too close to the parked car and hopped the door off the car (you could hear the bang from inside my car). when the door wouldn't open he closed it and then tried again with an even louder bang. when that failed he tried a third time with an even louder bang. the door closed and the driver pulled forward so he was now alongside me. i gave the horn a beep so he could see there was someone in the car, but next thing there was an even louder bang as he hit my door. i beeped again and he got back in. the taxi pulled forward and with no car alongside him the passenger finally fell out of the door. he seemed more than a little drunk. i went over to the taxi driver and asked him why after the guy tried to get out for a third time he didn't try to stop him. he just shrugged his shoulders and drove off.

luckily there was no damage to my car.

i usually only parallel park because at least that way nobody will park next to you.

Jeeesus!
I'd of slyly slammed the drunks hand in my car door!
What is it with people not respecting someone's pride and joy?

Wouldnt like to add up the money Ive spent taking small dings out of my cars over the last couple of years.
Found 2 small dents in the S3 recently, feel a bill coming soon as they drive me nuts everytime I wash the car.
The biggest worry is making sure the door cards and fittings are replaced properly without any screwdriver marks.

The wife has a nasty dint in the rear quarter of her Yaris (looks like a classic white van man job). Seems a bit pointless getting it sorted as she seems to make a good job of picking up battle scars herself.
Her last car was traded in for peanuts at only 3 yr old looking like a ****** dodgem!

TFSI - if you get any other dents let me know as i know someone who worked at Bentley who is fantastic at removing dents (it was his job before he retired) who is also in Crewe and he charges £10-15 for several dents.

Last time i got 2 dents and 1 big crease taken out by him and he charged me £15!

I might save some money!

You've got to be kidding me...

Did you leave the notes?

God yeah, of course I left them!
even managed to speak to one of the owners... the guy with the Cayman... he wasn't happy but really appreciated that soeone in London could be bothered to take details and pass them on.
