Car back but I have a boost problem

Well I got the car back and the oil pump has resolved my Tapping issue at start (Thank good) new cam belt is on and so is the SB stage III clutch which feels like stock I have to say.

The New Scroll Outlaw turbo is in and working, well I know it is but I have a major boost issue in that it will not boost beyond 5.1 psi.

I know I don’t have a boost leek as my mate clamped off one of the boost pipes coming off my EBC solenoid pipe and when I took her up the road she boosted to 17psi with no issue at all and that was not even under fall load.

My conclusion is it may be the solenoid or may be a lack of power getting to the solenoid; I will have another look tomorrow to try and work it out.

One thing I will say is that the car feels so smooth now.
 
cool! Doc when you say solenoid do you mean the N75 Valve? it connects to the Turbo inlet pipe?

if so i may have a spare one you can have.

id love to see your car in the flesh! truly one of the best B5 RS outlaws! with a outlaw turbo! :icon_thumright:

when you going to get the custom remap?
 
it does sound like its your EBC playing up mate, is it connected the right way? maybe they reversed it ?

You cant even stick the N75 back in as yours has gone hasnt it?
 
It should do as it was mine and i bought it new, i just didnt like the way the boost spiked and surged (quite common on mapped cars) so i swapped it out for an F valve

I am glad its fitted matey, and you may have time to get the mapping done yet for Audi driver

Is you EBC solonoid 2 or 3 port? I had issues with my apexi once when it was flowing the wrong way round. Check the hoses are the right way round. Was like the car was in safe mode...
 
Car fixed aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand

Problem was a broken wire going to the solenoid quick repair quick run up the road and 17psi is easy thing pulls by 2000rpm and by 2500rpm I'm getting full boost (well within 200 yards).

I have a car to VAGCOM later to clear an airbag light so I will get a better run then but now I'm getting torque steer which I have never had with this car.
 
Good man, my god i wish i had a bit more power it must be great... Oh well only a few more weeks till a new turbo is on the cards :yahoo:

Just came back from a spin in the car and the thing keeps spiking to 22psi, I need to turn it down as it is I can feel the EBC fighting with the boost.
 
I need to control this boost, thing was hitting 24psi last night when I went for another drive and at one point the car did not like it and would hesitate giving me boost, sort of feels like the EBC is fighting with the turbo.

People have said on other forums that K03s and K04-15 where so similar in power it was not worth doing but this Outlaw K04 is way different, It just produces way more boost than my K03s. Can’t wait to get this mapped with the other parts I need to put on as right now it’s just crazy quick and all on a chipped K03s map.
 
Sounds good mate.. be really interested to see what figures you get after the remap. Who you going with?

Should be getting mine done soon but other jobs keep popping up!! Gotta stick a new radiator on now as it's developed a leak:sob:
 
Well like you things keep popping up and I still need an exhaust to complement the whole thing and untill I can sort that out the maps on hold you never know thing always turn up.
