Window Problem anyone help !!!

Hi all ,

i took my car to my friends at vw ,

he got the window back up. The window guides where fine and not broken just a small white clip had come off on the right bottom of the window .That needs replacing .And he took the motor off and tested it was working but when you pressed up it would go down and down would go down it wont go up ? Why is this has it just learned to just go down now ??

Any help please ???

Some one must of had this we took the motor off the door and it would only go down and not up ? . Anyone know why do i need to replace motor its only 2months old or what can be done ??

Could it be faulty motor or had it just learned to go down and not up ?

dont want to replace switch as it was working fine before the window got stuck ?

why would the motor go up and not down ,

when its taken off the frame ?

Because it has a safety feature, if the clips broken it'll sense there's an obstruction (thinking it's a childs neck) and go back down. If the motor works downwards then it'll work going up as well, you just need to replace the clip and put it back together again.
There's a million threads on this all too common problem if you do a search.

This is with the motor deattached from the window ??

when i am pressing up the motor does down ???

Right ,

i have taken off the motor again and when i click up i hear a clicking from the motor but it doesnt go up so the switch must be fine click down and goes down when i keep trying to click up it just goes down anyone have a clue please ???
