I need help :(

Hi all sorry to bother you with my problems.
Hope your all good

Had my car over a month now 54plate a3 1.6 SE.
Been up audi five times with faults.
Twice with exhaust (they said there no hole in exhaust or back box, but two garage say there is) going to have another one check it saturday and give me a report on it and take it up audi. As audi they say all 1.6 sounds like that but didnt for the first week or two.

Then water pump went car kept overheating and they replaced it and the radiator. That was last wednesday they had the car for two days.

Now the latest problems went up audi on monday because there was like metal on metal straping noise and i couldnt take it any more. And possibly damage my car, and couldnt tell where it was coming from. They said there was a stone in caliper they took that out. And was charged £55.81 (have not paid it yet didnt have wallet on me and get paid tomorrow) Then had the cheek to say my two front tyres are abused! From hand break turns and wheel spins.

I thought that was quite cheeky as im not a boy racer i have a 1.6 (not really a fast engine) i paid £8,750 not gonna pay that much to go f*ck about in the car and reck it. I dont do hand break turns or wheel spins never done them in my corsa so not gonna do them in the a3!


And now got the same noise coming from the back right wheel some one said it could be the disc cover or wish bone Getting a bit feed up as i seem to be up audi every other week!

What would you lot suggest?

I take it from your sig you are going to Cardiff Audi. To be truthful from my experience of them you would be better going to Bridgend Audi as they have always been good with my cars. Cardiff Audi would have let my car go 40K past the timing belt change schedule cause they confused KM and Miles. Also told me I needed a new Bose speaker cause it had blown....I had a look and it was a wire off. With regard to the noise refuse to pay them for the work they have carried out as the fault is still there. To me they have always seemed to be so far up their own a**e they don't want to bother with anything older than 3 years.

hi thanks for the reply appreciated. Yeah i've heard Bridgend Audi are alot better then Cardiff. Must say they are such kn*bs speak blown and wire not plugged in. Idiots confusin KM and Miles. Yeah they do seem like there up there own a**e i'll go up there tomorrow as i start work at 11-11 but any more problems straight to Bridgend Audi. where abouts is bridgend audi? I've been quite calm nice etc...But now im starting to get p*ssed off with there attitude seems like aswell because im young they can try and put a bit of blame on me and try fobbing me off with alot of Sh*t. You get your car soon excited?

hahahahahaha......driving the missus Micra at the mo. Advertised my 1.8TQS and it sold the same week. If all else fails with cardiff Audi and they don't help you I would get reports for all the faults like the exhaust then send them all to Audi.uk. Let them sort all the **** out. Another thing they did with mine was to quote £180 to change the timing belt. When I came to pick the car up and pay they tried to charge £320. Asked them why and they said they had changed the tensioner for an uprated one and all new aux belts. At no point did they call to say they were doing more work, so I refused to pay!!! The noob on the service desk refused to give me the keys and there was a big stand off untill the manager came down. Just to get the car back i had to agree to pay, but with the VAT knocked off. Bridgend Audi is on Tremains road which is easy to find. Spend a bit of time around Cardiff, but not regular.......roll on November though as I had the build date for mine yesterday at week 41 ........Also tomorrow should be an OK day too as I have to go to Oxford to pick up my mothers new motor. A Merc C180K Sports in fire opal red. happy days LOL

Ive had a couple of people mention to me about good service from bridgend audi...must admit ive not had any problem from cardiff audi yet myself...(except for some high quotes) but sounds like your not getting any joy from cardiff so would def give bridgend a try. Tell them that you've not been happy with service from cardiff audi and explain why. Can be difficult to get the point across that not every young driver is a typical boy racer who is always screwing the hell out of his car.

Have been using Sinclair Audi in Bridgend & Swansea for fifteen years & have never had any problem with the them. Bought my new car from Bridgend this year, would highly recomend.

I would follow the advise that other have said - ie go elsewhere for a second opinion or if its not under warrenty find a good reliable vag / audi specalist and ask them to look at it.

If you do go back to Cardiff Audi ask the manager to explain how a handbrake turn effects the front tyres as they are seriously trying to fob you off.

Aww well your saving fuel on that and insurance im taking it lol so not that bad. and only driving it till november. Well thats good managed to sell your 1.8TQS straight away. Mind if i ask how much for? (hope you dont think im being cheeky). Yeah i might have to i think one of my first threads was about my exhaust and they were pretty good. But it just seems to be alot worse now. And its annoying when people like your car dont sound good

Should at least have the respect and proper customer service trying to know before you do some more work to let the customer know your gonna be doing this and that. Yeah been on the form a month or so and have looked at some thread people saying Bridgend Audi good etc. I wouldnt class it as a problem yet they just stuck up there own a*se (ok im lying its a problem) and there ignorant just because i didnt come in buy a brand new or newer car and im young they probably think they can take the p*ss. But we do have our fair few of wannabe boy races.

In cardiff mcdonalds ALL the time its like max power! Racing around mcdonalds in circles. One of them did actually hit my a3 while at the drive through he started doing a burn out no one was behide me so i backed off abit but d**k decided to stick it in reverse and see if he could do it went straight into the fron of me!

I got out of the car (kinda lost my tempah) Pulled him out of his car by the window. Lucky for him no damage to my baby lol. But he had a nice dent and he didnt get his food drove off. If you want to mess around go do it where NO ONE else is and on your own private property.
But they will learn either the hard way or easy way(decide to be mature)

I dont know how many corsa fiesta clios all p*mped out have tried racing me im quite happy to just let them speed off. Just on the dual carriageway when i put my foot down haha

But anyway defo gonna go up or call bridgend

Yeah im defo gonna get a second opinion. Its under warrenty still got 11months on it. Yeah im gonna see if i can find a vag/audi specalist today and ask them to have a look. But wont be able to let them have a look till tomorrow or next week

Im going back up there today to pay for the bill and i phoned earlier and said i want another reciept and they was like why Not gonna explain on the phone because some people seem to be ***** on the phone. Rather chat to some one face to face.

If you live in the Cardiff area there is a guy in Magor Newport. They specialise with AVG & have all the Audi test equipment & are half the price of Audi on servicing & repairs. It is one of these little garages that have been past from father to son.
I have used them for many years, Keith fitted a recon engine in my A4 Avant some years ago & he also used to service my last A3
