Hi, I'm new here but realy glad to find this forum since it seem realy great, nice to be here!

I have a 2002 A3 TDI Q, and plan to fit a set of BBS Motorsport 17x9" rims (ET -7), wich means I have to wide the fenders around 40-45mm/side.

My problem is that I cant find any good wide body kits, I'm only interested in discreet well working stuff, I'm not that much into transformers if you understand:laugh:
I think VW motorsport had nice kits for Polo and Golf. My thought was that maybee Audi, ABT etc. sold something for the A3/S3?

I'm glad for any help I can get...

And sorry if my english isnt the best, I'm from Sweden:moa:

Thats what I was thinking, but then that will be a lot of torque, so does it have uprated internals?

I'm building a street legal TDI-racecar. A little BTCC/WTCC style over it.

Any help would be great guys!

Hi Theo!.

Please open here a post with your car profile, because your post in tdiclub is amazing... and it helped me a lot with the quattro tdi downpipe. You may remember....

Use S3 parts, with a "little" work you can match them in your car....

What have you done to get 197WHP? Thats quite a lot.

It's got to be Hybrid turbo for that type of output on a derv..

Here you can read about my car, its not a regular chipped familycar:rolleyes: And now I beleve I should see another 20WHP if I dyno it, its much better remapped mow.

Hi!

I'm active in so many forums, so I dont have time for one more:)
Tought this seem great, probably the biggest 8L forum in the world with normal langauge?:)

Well, I use S3 bumpers now, and as I understand it S3 fenders are 2cm wider than A3, right?
With those wheels I need to get the car atleast 40mm wider even tough I run with much negative camber... So S3 parts are not wide enought.

To be honest Theo, most on this forum prefer the standard understated look of an S3 with usually a change of wheels and a LCR front splitter as visual changes to the exterior. I've been a member on her for 5years+ and don't recall anyone who has fitted a wider body onto their A3/S3, so I doubt you will get a definitive reply on this one.

I'm now off to read your engine build thread you posted up, looks good! ;)

I have just read the whole of that thread on your engine build and it is outstanding.

You have put a huge amount of work into developing and building that.

Jojo is right about people on this forum prefering very subtle mods to the exterior, and most people don't go that far or the internals either. It's nice to see what can be achieved when people put their minds to it.

I cant help but think an S3 with RS4'esque arches would look seriously mean.

I fully understand that, why destroy the awsome look of an S3:) I'm a little more crazy I suppose, and dont have an S3, hehe. I keep looking then.

Thanks

Thank you! I'm not stopping here, I like chasing porsches with my 1,9litre diesel:laugh: A new rebuild is planned...

Thanks guys! Roll the arches out is far from enough. Metal/plastic work needs to be done. I can post pictures in the future if I'm doing it.
