hi

i have a A3 2.0TDI 140Bhp, i want to get a remap, what is the best price? and which one to get?

im in the London area

thanks

The 6 million Dollar question!

REVO is excellent, delivers on it claims, has excellent after sales, BUT its pricey.

GIAC seems to be at least as good, the other guys on here have good experience and I thinks its bit cheaper than REVO. Seems to be the remap of choice at the minute.

Custom Code come highly recomend in VW circles and they are offerring a massive 30% off at the minute making it very good value.

Superchips do the Bluefin product, its also good value at around £450-£500 (that includes the handset for switching between maps.)
SC are veterans of the tuning game, but there has been a few indifferent reports from guys on here so Im not sold on it to be honest.

They are others, such as MTM, Morego(BBR), CHipped UK, Oettinger, APR.....

Good luck
Paul

Hi There,

I'm also in the london area, i can do you a remap for £290 +VAT.

Gains are anything up to 50hp and 100nm depending on what you are after.

Feel free to call me on 07756 190026.

Kind Regards,
Mark

So does that mean you can put the car to stock settings and turn the map on when you wish?

And can you do more than one car with the machine?

Cheers

I've got the ChippedUK ST3 unit so I can change between standard, economy or fast road maps as and when I wish.

I believe Chip-N-Spin is currently offering a group buy on these units at only £350 (with 2 maps).

Easily worth that money imo. They also have different maps available, so you pick the 2 you want bundled, and its only an extra £100 per map after that. Also, if you already have your car mapped, you can still keep that map as your standard map, so its all win-win.

what happens if your car has to go in to the main dealers?
ive heard stories your map could be erased - also is your warrenty affected?

I have the REVO its awesome - i think you get what you pay for!

My Local REVO dealer (Ian @ Powermap - Bristol) will turn it off and then put it back on if your not 100% and taking it to main dealer enabled. I am pretty sure the REVO is undetectable though - PM me and i will explain!

Hi

We are currently offering a free Select unit (usually £150+vat) with Revo software if thats of interest? The Revo software is £499+vat.

We also can offer the AmD remap which is £449inc vat.

Both remap options come with before and after rolling road graphs.

Cheers Shaun.

The dealers are very hot on checking for re-maps at the moment, any excuse to get out of warrenty issues.
Maybe you sould consider a "Tunit box" similar power to the ecu chips but can be easily removed should you need to. Also you can remove when you sell the car.

I found revo to be a very harsh map on my mk4 golf TDI. too much low down power and not enough mid to top end progressive range. im not the only person to of said this about revo either when ive been to meets and shows etc. I'll be going for bluefin. having looked at the bluefin graphs it looks very similar to the stock power delivery curve but with appx 25% more power. Think you can get bluefin for £450 inc vat if you mention your a AS.net member.

The car's original map is stored on the Bluefin unit so yes you can switch between the original and remap - takes about 5 mins to change the maps over.

The unit is locked to your car only though, so cant be used on others.

I use custom maps, so you can go for whatever elvel of tuning you want. We can give more power and economy. Or you can go from the ST3 group buy which is still running.

Cheers, Mark
