Coolant pipe with heat shield

Hi ,

Can anyone help i have been trying to get this part but seems to be backordered everywhere ?

its a water pipe there are 2 at the back of the engine of the s3 which are covered in a silver heat sheid.

The part number is 8L9 121 157D

does this come with the heat sheid ? and is there any where else to buy this as its strange that i cannot get when its just a bit of hose ???

sorry mate its not a serviceable part for most of us without rampsD

This part is just a hose with a heatsheild on it ,

i took it off by taking the 2 clips of each side , it was leaking so it needs replacing just wanted to know where to get that part from .

There is no need for a garage its a easy fix....

I'm pretty sure they are the same across the whole A3/S3 range and TTs. Perhaps a call to a breakers yard, or make a temporary fix with after market hose until you can get right part.

Basically mate, its 2nd hand or wait for the main dealer

Doubt the heat reflective stuff will come with it, just ask your local parts dept at Audi they should tell you what the score is

have you tryed tps?trade parts specilist.they do audi,seat,skoda& vw parts under onre roof.
many times audi parts have told me the same as you,backorder,wait 5days bla bla even no one in england has the part in stock.aload of ********.one call to tps and the next day they had the parts for me. great..tps slough 01753 486 500,hempsted 0207 624 2020 or colindale 0208 357 1234.there are many more around just call them & ask for your local one.good luck.

However, if its a standard part on your car, then you can get it from audi. It might be 8L9 121 655 A or 8L9 121 653. Both are listed as heat deflectors, but don't give lengths.

I just told you. They are listed as "deflectors" they are on the same page as the coolant pipe you mentioned above. If the pipe doesn't come with the heat sheild, it may be one of these.

Im sure the item comes with the heat shield as i cant see why not as the part comes with other connectors and needs a shield where it is .:thumbsup:
