S3 MY07 and MY08 Differences

Does anybody have a list of the differences in standard equipment or styling, etc, between the MY07 and MY08 S3s?

The reason I ask is that the S3 my dealer is trying to sell me is a MY07 model. It was only registered in May 2008, but it was a MY07 build. If there are a lot of differences I want to be able to use them to wrangle an extra bit of discount.

I know the needle sweep is an 08 job. anything else spring to mind? I assume Aux-In was too?

Get a good discount mate you will get 9% off a new one so take that into consideration

Ive got an MY08 delivered late last year. Its got the needle sweep but no AUX port. I reakon that'd be worth the bit of extra money to be able to plug on ipod in.

The AUX port came later in the 08 cars.

BTW im in australia so not sure if its the same in the UK.

Its the same in the U.K. My car was MY08 from late last year and has needle sweep but no AUX in.

While I agree that it is a novelty function and wouldn't be worth paying any extra for, it would be a tell tale sign to anybody looking to buy it that it is not the "latest model".

In fact, looking at the video above it doesn't look all that special. Somehow I thought there was more to it than that. The needle test in VAGCOM is a fancier setup. Pity that can't be enabled.

If they're refering to the extra features you can enable with vag.com you get:

• Enable/disable 3 flashes with indicators
• Put wipers into service position
• Switch DRLs on/off
• Control brightness level of footwell lights

If you enable the extra features in vagcom you can set the delay on the coming home lights and the brightness of the footwell lights.

The DIS could have better functions, link it the the ESP sensors to find your G-forces on acceleration & cornering

I'm nearly sure that information is available on one of the VAGCOM reporting screens.

You get a switch yes but with vag.com you can enable a control in the DIS to switch them off also. Not that you'd ever use it as it's quicker just to use the proper switch.
