The circumferential springs of the OEM dual mass flywheel on the S3 are prone to loose elasticity if the torque is increased beyond tolerance (This tolerance, for functional reasons, is quite narrow).
Given that lots of people here have remapped cars, does any of you ever experienced clutch pedal judders or vibration or any steering wheel vibrations?

I am having this problem and my dealer offered to either:
- substitute under warranty the dual mass flywheel
- fit without any labour cost any Clutch+flywheel system I will provide him.

My fear is that, if I choose to simply substitute the actual flywheel with another OEM flywheel (unless it's an improved version) it will fail again in a certain amount of time (soon).

Any thoughts?

In my 2.0tdi, my flywheel judders like nothing else, its terrible sometimes!

Its like I am on a vibrating plate when the car is idling!

For the 2.o liter diesel engine I believe there is (or has been) an official recall from Audi.

Yeah, I have already been to Audi and they have told me there are no outstanding recalls on my car. I have a few problems with my car which need sorting

eg.

emissions control light is on
econ/air con is messing up
flywheel judder
70k service is needed

need to get it booked in soon when i get paid!
