Big thanks first off to Jonny C!

Drove to Harrogate this morning to meet him and collect his 'hand me down' CAT back exhaust, custom made 2.5".

Straight back home to Liverpool and round to Kwik Fit for the fitting! One moment of panic when the bloke said he couldn't do it due to the air line for the back box actuator....

Quick phone call to Jonny who confirmed it was ok to remove and plug....

Fitted in ten mins... Only £30 too!

Then all hell broke loose at the back of my motor.... the noise is amazing! So meaty and creates such a good presence over stock!

Mind you Jonny's new 3" one was even better, the noise his made as he flew off from our meeting point, thought a tornado jet had folwn over LOL

All i can say is i've got a permanent :):jump::thumbsup::arco:

Still trying to get used to the noise... But thanks to Jonny for meeting me, his help and advise and generally be a nice fella!

Be good to meet some of you other chaps!

Now for a Forge CAI ? Then you'd really break the neighbours' windows with noise !!

Find out where Bowfer lives and drive up and down his street. He loves a good induction noise

Great plan - maybe we could arrange a convoy of the noisiest Audis and head off for Aberdeen ?

Glad you like it mate!! The modding has now begun... lol

Ill have a drag pipe made for mine especially.. :)

Ha ha, sounds like a plan

'Operation Bowfer'

Just need a drum & bass cd to blast out through the BOSE... LOL

Gonna be giving a bloke that lives near by in an S5 a run for his money now.

He always givin it large with that V8 noise...... find me self feathering over the throttle now going down streets tryin not to be too noisey! Helped my economy Jonny! LOL

I already have the Carbonio intake on with Green filter, not as good as the Forge CAI I know but still serves the purpose.

Now all i have on my shopping list is
10mm spacers for front (12mm already fitted to back)
Forge Diverter Valve
Lowering of some form
Maybe a set of 19's....
New intercooler.....

quite a list! LOL (Just need to find the funds now.....)

The list goes on eh :)

Fitted a none resonated Milltek cat back to mine last week. Did it myself as i'm too tight to lay out another £30, took about an hour. Car spools up quicker and the S3 now sounds like what it should have done from the factory.

Enjoy!

sounds great mate. going in to the dealers for a service next week and then hopefully the modding begins...:eyebrows:

Be careful with the Forge DV idea Eagle79. There's a lot of info out there which suggest that no only do they offer zero performance gains but that the surging they cause can damage the turbo. On this site Rabbit222 and Sakkie have had problems with theirs jamming (I think Rabbit222 has now removed his but check with him). I was thinking of one myself but have been put off big time. Have a read of this also:

Kris,

Does it sound like the lord of thunder is following you down the road? LOL

I'm gonna try and record it without pi55ing off the neighbours as thats not the intention!

Would any of you remove the exhaust when putting the car in for a service?

Mine is due in for its first in 13k but not sure i can be ar5ed with removing it!

definately not, this should not affect anything on service and even with a warranty claim i'd only remove it if it was directly linked to the problem.

It's got a deep rumble low down and a rasp at top end!

BTW: I won't be taking mine off when it goes in for a service.
