Just found out that ETKA has prices on it

I installed ETKA a couple weeks ago and i have only just realised that it lists the prices of the parts in £'s!

So if anyone ants to know how much stuff is from Audi or VW post here!

Have you installed version 7?

I had version 7 installed and it came with the prices, but when I upgraded to 7.1 the prices disappeared because you need a MyETKAInfoID, Username and Password to connect to the download server - all of which is closely guarded by the dealerships.

yeah mines version 7 Update 597.

i'll keep with 7 and not go for 7.1 then if it will lose the prices, its fun just going through stuff to see how much stuff retails at!

Since those parts are for the MY09 A3 and didn't appear in ETKA until update 703 they won't be in Robin's system in order to get a price.

NigelHobden has ordered up a set of these so he may know how much they cost.

Ah i was after the old style parts that i will need for single to double din conv.... Have got a air con unit sorted so jsut need the other bits

Sorry, I thought you were after the facelift's rounded buttons and bits.

If you are buying the buttons and trim anyway you might aswell go for the new rounded ones cos they'll be the same price.

I think the prices will be in Euros.

The only way to get the most up to date prices is to get a ETKA login and download the updates from the central server. Good luck finding one of those!

That's funny... I met some lady who works with me that works for Trade Parts Specialist or something like that. She said she could get me parts on the cheap but it seems like her figures are higher than what you just said.

Here's what she said:

Rear brake disc - £45.73p (a pair)
Left wing mirror housing + mirror (not internal mechanics) - £62.17p

Hmmm... any ideas why this is?

The latest dealer price for the discs is £25.26p EACH you can get them cheaper by using none dealership genuine parts suppliers @ £23.41p each.

Audi UK price certain spare parts (brakes, exhausts, headlights) with really fine margins as they are trying to increase thier market share of the lease market otherwise you can often get genuine parts alot cheaper than the dealers

For example wing mirror:
Cover - Dealers £31.91p
Cover - Other £24.76p
The glass is much harder as there are about a zillion different ones, blue tint, heated, electric etc etc and prices vary

Also forgot to mention it also depends on what price update file you are running, some ETKA's do download this but you can also manually update if you can get your hands on the correct information. On the main ETKA screen under the Audi logo under the supportweb button it says Update teh first figure is the catalouge version the number after the slash is the price update version you are running.

downloaded it myself, most peer to peer will have it. I was lazy/impatient and bought the ElsaWin rather than download it.

It could be that the version Robin is looking at (597) is very out of date. The latest update is 709. The prices may well have changed.
