Is it worth upgrading to Symphony II for the 6cd system or stick with the concert & get Ipod connector? I have got Bose to go with it

The ipod connection isn't very good. Very limited. Doesn't display track names for example.

I would save your cash!

Ive got the Symphony II + with the in built 6cd changer and it's great, and with the II+ you can play MP3's!

If you have any plans to retro fit the RNSe in future then save your money on the SymphonyII+

PLUS - the music quality through the iPOD is weaker - I'd get the Symphony II+ if you're not upgrading to RNS-e.

Did wonder if the sound would be weaker through the Ipod....is the tyre pressure warning anygood?

I havent found the sound to be weaker thru the ipod connection ONCE I installed the RNS-E. Infact since installing that everything sounds better.

I wont be having RNS-E too expensive so will be sticking with the Symphony II can I also ask is the electronic lumbar support waste of money?

yeah, thats what I said too...

then I saw it and had to retro fit it, done for a fraction of the dealer price as many others have done on audi-sport.

Is the Symphony II+ a different shape to the Concert HU?
How would the RNS-E fit better than if you had the Concert?

What i mean is IF you plan to retro fit the RNS-e don't spen the money on the Symphony II+ as you will be taking it out.

Ok, I might sound daft, but, is the RNS-e the DVD sat-nav?

Sure is mate. Over £2000 from the dealer nearly a quarter of the price to fit after!

Nice 1, the car I just bought has it, do they come with upgraded speakers or do you need to spec bose

So if BOSE wasn't specced, the sat-nav will come with standard speakers

looks like it will be standard speakers, I've not actually seen the car yet, and I'm sure the dealer didn't mention BOSE, might be wrong though I was gettin a bit giddy by then:arco:

I'd be surprised if someone optioned the sat nav.... without the bose. If you're spending £2k putting the head unit in, what's another £440 for the speakers.....
When are you picking it up?

Thats what I was thinking, Bin told I'll have it before the end of the month, we'll have to see what it comes with

they really do take you to the cleaners dont they... £2k for the dvd nav, another £400 for Bose.

£2.5k as an aftermarket kit would be cracking. 60% less to retro fit it too probs.
