New keyfob

My keyfob doesnt work and is really worn and i only have one.
How do you go about getting new ones?

go to your local audi dealer, but be prepared to pay a small fortune

You just may need to change the battery, 2 x CR1620 batteries (£1 from ebay) and then resynched it (in the manual it will give you instructions on how to do this) - this is what I had to do recently.

If you have to get a new fob and blade, either ebay or dealer for the parts and then the dealer to get it cut and resynched. You should have the keytag that came with your keys that hold the cutting and transponder information - without this it may be tough I believe.

this is my next issue.. I only have the one flip-key with my S3.. the transponder info (the little tags etc) didn't come with it at all.. now, I want a new key cut (for obvious reasons) and was hoping to get the keyfob off ebay or similar. Is it much of a job to install the actual key-blade into the plastic housing?

Yep i have the same issue i just have the keyfob

me to, one key no tag......... bought new fob and blade off e bay then found out theres all different types, hopefully its ok, think a new one from dealer is about £250
