Hi all.
I tried with no success to remove the rear centre headrest on my S3 8P.

Anyone has a clue on how to do it?

I am tiying a camera tripod in the boot for the trackday and the centre headrest is right in the middle of the frame...

I have the same problem removing it as well!

Hi Macs
I took the rear centre headrest out of my 2004 A3 SE without any problem the only problem is I can not remember how I did it, what I do remember it was straight forward is there a button on side of the chrome bit that the headrest slides into to adjust the height if so I think I just pushed it in & pulled the headrest straight out.
Sorry if it's a bit vague but I no longer have the A3 sold it some weeks ago as I am waiting for my A3 cabrio.

I had the same problem when I put the rear seats down. The centre headrest clashes with my drivers seat.

Still not worked out how to get it out. Pressed and held the button and doesn't make a difference

There's no button on either of the two crome bars that hold the headrest in the backrest.
The two side headrest comes away with no problem (they have the button), but the center one seems like a totally different thing...

Goes off to check the manual....

Your need to put a screwdriver into the slot on the LHS mounting and this releases the headrest to allow it to be removed.

I asked about this at the stealers, they said it did not come out. Shows how much they know!

It worked!
Thanks a lot.
