Kowalski?
Cool name...
Brings back memories of a white Dodge Challenger being driven by a man with big hair and an amazingly cool pair of Aviators! (Vanishing Point)

My user name is boring...I was thinking of buying one at the time..and S3 seemed a bit short and boring.
It's stuck ever since..now used on all Forums.

Its polish, but alot of americans have it as well. Get teased by alot of peeps, but I love my name. Better than being John Smith :)

Interestingly enough your name in english is actually Nathan Smith since Kowalski is polish for Blacksmith!

Kowalski (feminine: Kowalska, plural Kowalscy) is the second most common surname in Poland (139,719). It translates to blacksmith where it is the patronymic form of the name for Smith (see Kowal), other surnames such as Kowalczyk, and Kowalewicz were derived from the word Kowal.

I could tell you all the reason for my name.... but then I'd have to kill you! :lmfao:

Actually it's just a cool mysterious character from a fantasy fiction book series I love. Raymond E Feist's - Riftwar Saga http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raymond_E._Feist

Thanks for reminding me of this - read it about 20 years ago and had forgotten it: might read it again now. Wish I'd chosen JimmyTheHand as my username instead of my reg plate - YGU.

Well, I orinally had a very low 16v and my username was slammed16v... then I had the R32, and I kept the lowness, but changed it to Deckedr32.... Now going S3, so i'm at DeckedS3 now!

Mine's my nickname... My surname is Bedford which got me the nickname 'Beddie' at school, it's stuck ever since... :)

My nieces only know me as beddie, and refuse to believe they have an uncle Steve lol! :)

My name comes from when I first signed up a 2nd Hotmail account. Staz is my nickname (surname *deleted*) and I didn't want a random number so I picked 1000 and use it for every site.

What site was this? I forget where my name comes from.

It was wikipedia, but they don't have a listing for your name.

A quick google returns:

Another site suggests:

Hi I`m polish and yes surname (deleted) is definitely polish but has no particullar meaning. It , like you said, comes probably from abrev. the name Stanislaw. The abreviation is (Deleted).
