My VRS packed up yesterday, wondered if anyone could recommend a VAG/VW/Skoda specialist in Leicestershire/Warwickshire I could send it too, think either the actual engines shagged or its maybe the fuel pump.

Was thinking of sending it to Just VW in Bulkington but googling them brings up mixed reviews.

Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Midland VW are very good, had some work done there and no complaints at all...

Also if you in Warwick area, i think theres a place called Dubshack in Coventry that maybe able to help you out.

Oh I found somewhere in the end, some small VAG Specialist tucked away in the corner of a local industrical estate, will let you know how I get on.

Unkle whereabouts are you from, and wheres this garage you found is it in Leicester??

Any idea whats up with it yet?

Yeah the boost pipe was worn and was coming loose, everytime I put my foot down moderately it just died so getting that sorted, having it serviced too and a new key recoded. Im a bit gutted because I was planning to sell it this month get a Passat or a Touran for a bonkers roadtrip round Europe in August.

Im not in Leicester, I live on the Leicestershire/Warwickshire border next to Treacle Town.

Not so bad then - in your first post you said you thought it might be the engine or fuel pump.

Yeah, Im very happy its nothing too major.

I know NOTHING about cars, for the last 4 years Ive had a new car every year and before that always company vans or small simple cars so my knowledge is zero.

Another thing, if any of you guys bank with LloydsTSB and have free AA cover with your account, I just thought Id let you know that Home Start/Assistance isnt included in this. My car broke down about two miles away on a busy street so I thought 'yeah I'll make it easier by getting my mate to tow me home then the AA can sort it out' which was actually the wrong thing to do. When I rang them, they wanted £45 to 'upgrade' my membership and then another £40 to tow it, cheeky bar stewards!

Well as it happens (completely random and totally flukely) Im a member of ADAC (German AA) and I have Pan European cover, the whole thing cost me about €50 for a year, so I rang them in Germany, and then they rang our AA who came and towed me for nothing.

So **** you AA.
