Got some piccies up today of the car now it has spacers front and back.
15mm on the rear & 10mm on the front as per Demian's (DPM) advice.
So far no rubbing at all.

Ive fallen back in love with the standard 18's now, they looked a bit lost before but not anymore :yahoo:

I think the car looks better for it, especially at the back. I would also say the ride height is perfect (for my tastes anyway) so i wont be fiddling with the suspension. Sorry the pics aint great, they were taken using a camera phone:

Rear - p00 pic sorry

Side on? No, i'll get one tomorrow, shes parked up in my tight *** drive.

That looks so much better than standard, i'm really impressed by your results. I was going to go for 10mm all round but may follow your route now. I'm away in 2 weeks so i'll get them on mine after this month is through.

Yeah the back looks heaps better now.
It was one area of the car I wasnt overly fond of, but not anymore

The fronts are well flush with the arch now as you can see from the second to last pic.

THe rear is still slightly tucked under at the top, but due to the camber only. Anymore would be pushing it IMO.

Why does my car look tinted yellow in all these pics? Must be the camera..

My thoughts are the the same.. its a fantastic looking car but the only area that just didn't quite do it for me was the sunken look of the wheels in the rear arches. The fronts are acceptable, but the look of yours with the 10mm spacers have made my mind up to go ahead with them on mine.

It's a strange one the S3 IMHO Std car i'm talking about here.

The rear height is spot on , but too far under the arch.

The front height is too high and a midges **** too far in the arch.

So you add spacers 10's on the front 15's on the rear , the front looks too high still , but the track is spot on , while the rear looks BANG ON in height and track

100% agree with you there on all points, Although looking at that second to last pic of the front, i wouldnt quite say its too high, just a midges **** maybe?

Looking good mate - Really keen to hear how you get on with those 15mm on the back.
I'm thinking I may swap my rears for 12mm.
I should get some more pics of mine up with 10mm on all round - the car got the full treatment over the weekend, looking like new again! Very pleased!!!

To follow on, I couldn't agree more - why Audi don't widen the track on the S3 anyway is beyond me - it does so much to enhance the stance of the car - just makes it look more purposeful.

Car looks the nuts lad!

Ive have to thank S3 LTN because after seeing his car in France with the same setup i was like "That looks the business mate"!!

Ali told me what he had done to his car and what I needed to buy. :beerchug:

Gotta love forums.

Following behind his car you could see the wheel spokes turning at the front, it looked very very cool, and the rear, well that speaks for itself as weve stated.

Looks nice mate.

Be careful with those 15mm on the back as mine started to rub, just make sure you dont go over any bumps in the road fast as my 10mm rub sometimes if I give it too much beans!

Can you drive your S3 without giving it the beans? how?

Ive not had any rubbing yet, although i am gradually picking up speed on the humps day by day.

Im sure soon it'll be "yep, thats the limit reached" :lmfao:

At least it wont do any damage just a little chirp from the plastic hitting the outer rim of the tyres.

Look on the bright side it will give anyone passing you on the opposite side of the road a laugh when it happens as you will be gurning with the noise for the first couple of times!

Car looks great L60N.

I was thinking of going 10mm all round but may now go for 15's at the rear to. I guess with the standard s-line suspension I shouldn't have any rubbing issues?

Go for it!

The only thing that bothers me a little is Dealer visits for servicing..

Dont bother with the dealer!

How far from Teeside are you as my mate is a ex Audi mechanic who has set his own business up and is excellent and very good at pricing.

Uses genuine Audi parts from the local dealer so warranty is not a issue.

Not too far at all, although it would be a bind in real terms, driving up and not having a car to get back in.

Can you PM me his details?

Judging by most of the threads I read about dealers I'd be surprised if they even noticed!

I guess to fit it's just a matter of wheel off, spacer on, wheel on?

Could I ask "how much"
Does cost include longer wheelbolts?
What about the locking wheelbolt?

Thanks

Looks brilliant mate. 15mm on the rear looks spot on to me.

I dealt with Demian at DPM. Drop him a PM, he'll do you a deal as your a member here. :icon_thumright:

Hey Guys ,

That's the first thing I did when I got my S , 15mm Eibach spacers all round.. What a difference .. Looked and rode so much better.

Now with the H+R springs , it's all good ! Runnin a bit of camber on the rear to prevent touching , but I think a tad too much camber. Gona change it and see the outcome !

Looks nice mate! Filled out nicely.

One thing that I noticed yesterday flicking through the A3 brochure was that the S3 had a shorter rear track (1mm) than the standard A3. Guessing its to lessen understeer...

To add to L6ON's post.

Here are some shots of mine with 10mm all round, and a couple without (when the car was pretty much first delivered).
Cars looking nice and shiny now after a weekend of pampering!

Anyway - thought it a useful addition to the thread!

Didn't realise you were going sprint blue mate!
I highly recommend speaking with Rich or Clark at polished bliss and getting the JEFF's Acrylic kit - it works really well on the sprint blue, is easy to apply and last's pretty well if you build up 2 or 3 layers over a couple of weeks.
Great stuff!

Would be god to get a pre & post facelift shot sorted when your car arrives!

Off topic - sorry!
