Just a quicky anyone know how much a set of genuine rear mats are? Also can I get them cheaper from anywhere other than Audi, as mine didn't come with any.

Mine didn't either, I just got onto the blower to the sales rep who sold me it and stated that when I asked for mats I was of the understanding that, that meant front and rear! and I really wasn't happy, He sorted me out with some that day and appologised profusely. Just another trick of the dealer trying to cut on expense just like the road fund licsence!

The cars should ship with a full set of mats. I have a suspicion that they confiscate the mats when the cars arrive.
I know my local VW\Audi dealer replaces the VW mats with ones that have the dealer's logo on them. They then put the factory VW ones (with the VW logos) into the stores, presumably to sell on.
Both my A3s have come with a full set of OEM mats and a first aid kit for under the driver's seat. Presumably the same thing happens with the free bag of oil that comes with the cars.

When I purchased my A3 Sportback in March 2007 the front mats were standard but the rear mats were an option. With the facelift version all models come with rear mats as standard.
The last pre-facelift A3 price list (March 2008) still lists Front floor mats as standard and Rear floor mats as a £30.00 option on all models except the S3 which lists them as standard.

You dont get nothing for free. With my first A3 they through in a set of front rubber mats and i had to purchase the rears at about £20.
Standard on a A3 SE were front carpet mats only

I was shocked when I first got my A3
I'd heard about this little trick so I made sure the dealer knew to fit the rears
not only did they fit some shonky cheap tat ones in the back but they removed the proper front ones and replaced them with the same cheap tat

Must admit the front ones are nothing special, in fact they look just like the carpet and look like half a mat!
Does anyone know a company that does ones that will fit the car but also clip onto the plastic tags both front and back?
Seen a lot that are the right shape put don't clip into place!
