I do think it's interesting.
Like most have said, I find him very suspicious, all the things he sells are easily 'nickable' and he claims most are off one of 'his cars' or from his dads 'scrappy!'. I hope the local police have had a word with him!
I must be honest it's one of my major hates of fleebay - the amount of stolen goods that move through that site must be enormous!!!

I was telling my mate about this last night.
As he, quite rightly, said when I mentioned the breaker thing

"feck me, those S3's must be easy crashed then"

Easily crashed they may be, but since they are in a breaker's yard they'd need to be written off . Big difference between crashed and written off.

Interesting that every S3 that's been written off in his da's breaking yard had both mirrors intact, but no other salvagable parts!

I know if I was auctioning off bits from a written off S3 there'd be more on offer than just the mirrors - stuff like radio, pedals, a wheel or two, suspension bits, etc.

I saw a written off RS4 on ebay a few weeks back and the breakers were selling every bit of it - right down to the cigarette lighter and the electric window controls.

My comments were in regard to the morality of double standards , not crime and punishment .

as for me ? I joined to watch people slip down wet stairs on the way to the cells ,

I've got a couple of mates in the Manchester Metropolitan.... They also joined for similar reasons. Not to 'make a difference' but to dish out a bit of real world justice. They get some proper scum bags in the cells and it's amazing how frequently CCTV tape goes missing...*allegedly*

Yeah, I got that alright.

I was adding the other points to add a bit of logic to the theory that these are stolen parts for all the posters who were willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Correct me if i'm wrong (i'm sure some of you are more legal-savvy) but aren't there legal implication with selling bits off written off cars?
Anyway i'm 100% certain this kid has been exposed for a thief or handler of stolen goods.

not sure about the legals - but isn't that what breakers' yards do?

I would assume that there are certain parts they cannot sell for safety reasons - airbags and the like, but everything else, such as mirrors and interior fittings, should be ok.

People don't believe, or refuse to believe, this goes on, but I've had a mate held face down in a cell whilst a kicking was administered by coppers.
(For the record, he was taken in for fighting at football, but resisted a bit..)
It kind of tears you in two.
On one hand, not nice to see it happen to a mate.
On the other hand, not exactly against it.

Even if Daddy does have a breakers yard. He will be in business to make money. He's not going to give his son a load of car parts to auction for himself on ebay.

I bet anything that there are only one or two mini's and S3's coming in now and again up and down the country, yet this one seem to get loads in frequently?!?

He's a thief, no doubt about it, and perhaps ASN have managed to get one more mirror stealer off the streets, so well done!

I'd be interested to hear if the guy who contacted the police heard anything back?
I'm pretty sure he's 'not off the streets' sadly, I reckon fleebay may have shot those auctions down, or contacted him saying someone had complained saying they may be stolen. Hell probaby simply set up another ebay account and they will be posted again any day!
Shame these people just keep getting away with this stuff.
Interetsing report in the papers today about the perception of the police and how hard working middle class peeps like most of us on here, feel vicimised by police for minor offences and we're feeling victims of crime...... it has to change really.
