How do you remove the centre cap on genuine RS4 style 9 spoke wheels? Mine are new so don't want to pry them off and damage the centres but theres no removal tool in the boot and the stealer haven't sent me the owners manual on yet.

Why not use a coat hanger? or are you stuck on the side of the road with a flat tyre? Can't beat a bit of improvisation.

I used a flat jewellers screwdriver to remove the ones from my 15's, the tool to change the spare tyre works too I think.

the bolts around the cap are false and have a hole in the centre the tool looks like this

you could use a hanger as said above or i've use a small allen key in the past

by the way this tool is only 36p from here

http://vagparts.co.uk/

so won't be much from audi/vw/seat/ go to the closest one

thanks for that. Calling to Audi tomorrow, should imagine they have a box full off those.

they are a shocker to use i find, try and get a (tong) set that hooks behind the caps. Some audi's have these are are much easier to use.
