"Your honour, i was simply adapting the law to suit my own needs"

Funny how that one never washes with the authorities! lol.:angrymod:

Ow, is it time to make up a fictious Audi owner, and bid bid bid, but not buy buy buy.:beee:

No, it's time to bid bid bid....Then payment on collection. Who's up for getting a minibus to 'Jays' house? :box::asskicking::slapped:

It's the fact that all parts just happen to be relatively easy to remove and are all 'nearly new'... Now i'm no Sherlock Holmes but...

sorry to hear that fella, hope you find the fcukers that done it

Heres the link... even got his contact number on there!

" came off of my 99 model s3"

" came off of my mk7 st but will also fit mk6."

so he owns an s3, festa mk7 st and also has another 4 sets of alu mirrors from other s3's he's owned? lol - what a ****, blatently stolen from other cars !

This little w@nker really has annoyed me!! Look at all the 'nearly new' **** he is selling!!

He needs a good beating closely followed by that 'nearly new' ford fiesta st spoiler wedged between his butt cheeks!!

Can you security mark the mirrors, somehow?
Might not stop them being nicked, but would help scrotes like this get caught.
Punch some sort of mark on the underneath, or something...

No reason why not. On the inside of plastic casing there's no reason why you couldn't burn or scratch a mark onto it or just mark it with a UV pen.
Obviously there's a line....I'm not about to start removing every component from my car to tag it or anything!

This ebay scrote would be worth reporting to the coppers.
There's definitely reasonable suspicion that it's stolen goods he's selling.
Any of you live in the area he does??

Edit - I note the location of 'his' 99 model mirrors is Bracknell.
Yet the location of the 6 pairs of S3 mirrors is Manchester.

:uhm:

I'd be tempted to phone him on his mobile and arrange a cash deal somewhere. Take some mates, slap him in the chops and leg it with the mirrors. Repatriation, if you like.

And if he didnt steal them?

Just playing devils advocate here but you cant go around beating people up on the off chance lol!

He does look dodgy though.. very dodgy, definately worth further investigation. :angrymod:

I can't think of a single legitimate scenario under which he would have all these pairs of used mirrors.
He's either nicking them or getting them out of the back door of a dealer and removing the packaging, to avoid being traced.

Definitely looks very very suspicious! Damn I'd love some proof to be sure though. Then I'd definitely be arranging to collect some S3 mirrors whilst passing by Manchester "on business". The business being knocking him out and breaking all his fingers in several places!! Try nicking wing mirrors and the like then!!
:asskicking:

Here's his mobile number 07833157211. He's included it in one of his auctions. How about we all send him an "appropriate" text at the same time ?

I'd be tempted to drop an e-mail to whatever the local constabulary is, pointing out why you think it's dodgy.

I have just phoned Manchester police to inform them that there is somebody selling stolen luxury car parts through ebay on the internet. They seemed interested enough. I gave them his phone number. Cost me a few bob to call them but worth it if they catch him.

These are 100% definitely stolen. No question.

Well lets be honest, i'm 99.999% sure that the guy won't have a receipt of purchase for those items.
Multiple sets of nearly new genuine S3 mirrors?! Where could you even get them from at a price to sell them at £140 and make a profit? Nowhere!

I thought about the breakers yard angle.
But he doesn't appear to be a breaker, and I can't see that many S3's having been crashed anyway!
So I dismissed that as a legitimate possibility.:beee:

The lads a scumbag no question , but where theres a market/demand there will always be people willing to supply it. Tw*ts!

Audi should take some of the blame , as they know these are targeted by theifs , they should make them impossible to steal or useless if stolen!

The crazy prices they charge just for the caps doesn't help things either, when i got my S3 i bought some replacement Phantom caps ( i was gonna put them in instead of the crome caps ) i paid £184 for two plastic Phantom mirror caps , i bought a Renault one last year for £35 black gold!

I have bad dreams about the cost of a replacement pair of crome caps!

Trust me mate i've looked into that option myself for spares and breakers are VERY aware of how desireable genuine parts like these are. They'd charge you top whack so there's no profit in resale. Unless a car is a complete wreckage i.e. cannot under any circumstances be put back on the road...ever, they won't strip it down anyway.
So yeah.... still going for the stolen angle!!

I thought that too, but them he is stating in the description that they came off his old s3. Which is a bit daft. Selling your old car minus the mirrors lol:

"Yeah, shes in good nick, she just needs some mirrors, i took em off to flog on ebay" ROFL

My mate had his wingmirror casing smashed on his Astra SRI and compared to a replacement Audi one it cos f**k all (i mean literally between a 3rd and half price). I wouldn't mind if it was an engineered, functioning part but no.... a bit of moulded plastic. Outrageous really.

Ok, ive asked him a question, the response should help find out a few things:

Hi there,
Can you get hold of a pair of RS4 mirrors? If so please let me know ASAP.

I've just reported all his Audi mirror caps to eBay as suspected stolen items. I'll let you know the outcome.....

Dont expect a reply too soon, he wont be out of bed yet... Did you notice how most of his items seem to have been photographed on his duvet cover-less bed, YUK! And also he's half naked in one of the pics, nice!

Well that was a waste of time......

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to report a seller who you suspect is offering stolen goods on eBay.

The sale of stolen goods is forbidden on eBay because it's against the law to sell stolen property. eBay strongly supports law enforcement efforts to recover stolen property listed on its website. However, we can only investigate such a serious allegation if it comes from the police, trading standards or a solicitor.

If you believe that an item on eBay may be a stolen item, please inform your local police and ask them to get in touch with us. The investigating officer can use the "Contact Us Webform" link on this page to contact our Trust and Safety team:

http://pages.ebay.co.uk/safetycentre/law_enforcement.html

We know your time is valuable and we appreciate you taking a moment to express your concern to us. Thank you for helping to keep eBay a safe, fun place to shop.

Regards,

eBay Trust & Safety"

hahah a modern-day group of vigilantes! :whip:

Go get 'em! :busted_cop:

Be interesting to see the outcome of all this. Great work guys!

We should have a sticky , ebay clean up police, everytime we come accross a shady crow put a link up , we report him , inform the police , bid up his items , but don't buy!

p

I suggest more people call the police in Manchester as then it will really get their attention.

PLEASE

I cant do this because i'm on a static IP address, but if anyone is ideally in a public location, could they do the following

1. Set up a new ebay account called wenounickedit (or something like that)
2. PM the details to a couple of ASN members
3. Then we can all abuse his auctions, make sure we are the winning bidders, but not buyers

If he cant sell his gear, he wont nick them :yahoo:

looking at the amount he turns over , and similar parts could it be a case of imported copies ? Uses various crap stories so as to not make you suspicious of being fakes ?
I wish the judicial sytem i worked for allowed hearsay and speculation to find someone guilty , would make it a lot easier.....................
Some of the posts are almost comical

Couldn't have put it better myself! Although Audi owners must (as Bowfer mentioned earlier) take some of the blame too. For it is Audi owners (mainly) that create the demand.

And before you all take a pop at me I'm not having a go at anyone in particular, just stating a fact.

I agree some of the posts are a bit OTT, seeing as there is no conclusive evidence against the guy, but selling the parts he has for those prices will yield very little profit assuming he acquired them in a legitimate way. Also breakers yards and scrappies know that stuff like that is like gold dust so he wouldn't have got it from there.

Seems far more likely that he is stealing these parts off cars, that's why he's selling them for far less than they fetch usually. He works in Kwik-Fit in Camberley, maybe this is where the miscreant 'sources' his parts from?

Oh dear I hope he doesn't steal to order!

Nah he has to be dodgy. If he had a good deal going importing fake copies he'd be selling more than just the easy to remove external parts of various cars! List his selling items and they are all exterior bits of trim etc. He might not be nicking them himself, but I'm 99% sure (like most others) that he knows he's selling stolen goods. More than likely he's nicking the bits with the best mark up on prices, S3 mirrors £100 or more, when an Astra mirror cover isn't worth his bother!

Anyone know a hitman? (I joke of course! Or do I..........)
