Dissertations

Tell me about it, I remember doing mine a few years back, really sucked but I managed to finish it 2 weeks before the deadline so I was ok. Just make sure you spend a good few nights doing as much work as possible, wish you all the best buddy :beerchug:

****** crap. Did mine on chemical reactions in the body when you break a bone.

Even had still photos of my mates tackling each other showing how the damage is caused. Was all going brilliantly until one of the clattered the other for real. So I took a photo of his face.

That's the thing, everyone I know whose had to do one, does it all like in the last month of the academic year after ******* about in the town for the rest lol :)

Woa, now theres planning for you!!

I finished mine about 1 hr before it was due in. I worked through the night 2 nights on the trot with a party pack of red bull at my side :jester::lazy::jester:

The feeling of handing it in was strange, my brain was almost shut down, but the relief was giving me a buzz (and the red bull overdose too)

Wouldnt go through that again!!!

That sounds like what I am going to have to do!!

Got about 8k words to do!!

Almost wish I had just bought a dissertation off the net 2 months ago for a few hundered quid!!!

lol yeah 2 weeks before the deadline is pretty impressive aint it? :sly: but I used to do most of the work in my car (can't work in a closed silent room) so I'd drive to a near by service station on the motorway and just spend a few hrs in the car trying to finish it off

That sounds more like you were going dogging than doing something academic!!!!

Did my dissertation this year aswell, had to hand it in just before easter. 10,000 words, took 6 days to write, had nearly lost my mind by the end of it:jester:. I will hopefully be doing a masters next year which means I will have to do a masters dissertatin of 24,000 words!!! not looking forward to that part...:faint:

Nice one Graham - I also wrote mine in 6 days flat, though it was knocking on 14,000 words...after losing the first chapter (which was undoubtedly the best 3k I'd wrote :scared2:). Still it all worked out well in the end

Good luck Soupie. Break it down into manageable parts and take regular breaks - focusing on any one part for too long can make a task become much more difficult, so refocus and then get back to it.

Rob

cheers. bad luck about losing the 3000 words!! but you're right, all worked out in the end, just so glad it is out of the way. good advice by the way about breaking it down in to smaller bits, thats how I managed to do mine, would have been far too much to handle otherwise...:beerchug:
