Just received my Bluefin through the post - ready to install on my S3. Just wondered if anyone out there who has already done it has experienced any glitches or problems (misfires etc.) in the weeks/months since they've installed Bluefin. Any comments gratefully received .....

In a word no.

The only issues reported on here were of a people being a little underwhelmed by the power differences - do a search on 'Bluefin'.

I just had a bluefin on my TT and am very pleased with the results, if you are not happy send it back, get a refund and go for GIAC - you will not be disappointed :)

I installed bluefin in my car and yes, I had misfires and had a code stored for misfires on cilinder 3. The check engine light would flash also.

But, It can be due to our fuel, although it is 100 octane maybe it is a little less, I dont know....overall, the car was not much faster than stock.

The device, on the other hand, is great, and the support is amazing!

Hope this helps!

Tried one out myself a couple of weeks back - great product, great support, easy to use, disappointed with the results. Don't worry when your dash lights up like a Christmas tree when it is programming either!!!

My check engine light came on because of the remap too. Trouble code was Cylnder 3 missfire.
But after trouble code deleted it never came on again. Also my friends cupra got the same problem. they did the same trouble code delete thing and it never came on again too.
I think its because of the new parameters. Ecu reads different parameters and flashes the check light. But after some miles it learns the new parameters. :icon_thumright:

Mine is great. I did get a bit of a missfire under full throttle in 2nd and 3rd for about the first 50 miles, but then it seemed to go away. Probably the settings changing on the "adaptive" part of the program. Never had any lights on though , other than when the program was loading.

Many thanks - it ws reading simon-S3's fairly glowing report which partly convinced me to go for it. Have installed it (very easy process - pleased with that sode of things already) and its now sitting in the car park at work waiting for the drive home. Haven't tried it yet. Needless to say this afternoon is going to drag ...... I'll let you know if my engine blows up or anything on the way home !

Good idea - if I give you my work number will you phone my boss and pretend to be my dying son in need of his father ?

I finish at 3pm ..... can wait that long. I think.

Got it, installed it, been addicted to it ever since. No glitches of any kind (yet) after 120 miles. The extra boost low down is stunning and the increase in volume from the turbo and exhaust a genuine surprise. The BOSE hasn't been needed since.

I'm making no comparisons with any other remap - but if anyone is debating Bluefinning their 265PS S3 - its an absolute bargain at £499 and a brilliantly user-friendly product/service as well. Feels like a whole new car and a whole new adventure getting to know it again.

10/10 from me.
(Watch it blow up now I've said all that)

Hope you didn't pay £499 for it dude! ASN members get 10% off or just ask for it anyway!!!

Poo. Didn't know that. Good job its good - thanks for the tip though: I'll know for next time.

Any discounts on tyres ?

How about...? Send it back within their 7 day money back guarantee (if you're still in it) and get your mum to buy you another one. :whistle2:

No idea on tyres though, sorry; don't believe so!
