the porsche driver may do the same as what I would when a chaved up car tries to race me, just sit back and let the little twerp think hes won the race. Its not even worth the fuel

I was in als S3 wen he raced the st. And i can tell u the guy was giving it everything it had as he was spitting flames from his twin exhausts!!! Als S3 pulled a good 3-4 car lengths on him!!!! and there was nothin in it until they hit 90-100mph!!!!!
As for all u folks on this forum who like to hit us wae the stats of a carrera, It dnt matter how many bhp it has, its how many it can use!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If the Carrera was spitting flames, it's broken.
Mine doesn't spit flames...but there again, mine doesn't get left by S3s...even big turbo S3s.
And if you'd ever driven a Carrera, you'd know that a talented chassis and non-nannying stability management mean you can use all the BHP. It doesn't cut the power, like the audi ESP does.

On paper the ST/S3 (225) are 6.5/6.6 to 60 respectively so I would expect a mapped S3 to beat the ST without a big problem - not by much mind.
I had an ST for a w/end and was very impressed by the car but at the time I thought it was slower than a Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo I had owned - did not have the S3 at the time for comparison.

It's interesting to read old snippets of reviews on the S3 which all used to really rate them as far better than the Audi TT and the best Audi drivers car of the time (autocar), yeah fair enough they understeer like most modern (fwd) cars but I am surprised at the general stick they get on this forum most of the time, for the budget of 10k a few months ago it was the top of my list by a long margin........if I'd had another 3k I would have bought the ST with balance of manufacturer warranty in place..

I think it might have been a cayman i raced, the guy in the porsche was the one driving like a chav not me i just thot i would try my luck and thats what happend, really sorry if you all think iam lying but thats what happend. As for the st my car was definetly the faster one. Nothing more i can say.
looked them up and that is definetly what it was, mybey i got the 02 plate wrong only had a quick glance. Who knows mibi the guy couldnt drive, he was driving like a nutter so let him go past after beating him multiple times.

As far as i know there is only a superchip on it, the guy that had it was some sort of technician so dont know the ins and outs of it mate but it seems to be quicker than most chipped s3's in my area.

agree to a point my old man works for porsche,and he gets to borrow different porsches all the time,the boxster s would **** over an s3 but the standard boxster does stuggle ive had a few encounters with him and he only just pulls away and mines only 210bhp,mind you he cant drive rounds bends like me,ha ha
