The last set he sold went for 61 euro. I got in with a sneaky last second bit for 31.50 euro. As I hit submit it said I was the highest bidder and the time remaining was 1 second.

Should give the unit the same look as the facelift A3's RNS-e.

The bidders' IDs were hidden. Was anybody on here bidding on them?

You little *****, lol, what they look like on rns, any pics?

so that dash image is the facelifted a3 range huh?

As I noticed the more angled switches etc, where'd you get that image from, is there anymore of the newer a3 interior or is it same as?

Urm makes me wonder if thats a straight swap for our currents ones.

it is from the ebay link.

the bumpf on the page seems to imply that these are original audi parts. I wonder if that means the ones on the facelift are just stick on knobs too.

Just got the latest update for ETKA and would you believe you can order these from your local parts department.

Items 21 and 22 on the list. I'll be upset if they are only 2 pounds each from the dealer.

I could really do with etka 7, hint hint nudge nudge wink wink & all.

NIgel.

hey marc, any chance pulling up the part number for the sline badge at the bottom of the TT mfsw flat bottomed as wanna get shot of that horrible black one, pretty pleaseeeeeeeeeee

I've only got etka 6.31, at mo

just checked online and they are €11 and €21 from Germany, so they'd be a bit dearer here I reckon. Looks like I may have got a bargain. I'll be over with my dealer to collect the connector for my start button tomorrow or Friday so will ask him then.

lol, lol, boy done us proud, thanks for part numbers, much appreciated, when I have the clamp meter in hand will be on it like flies to *****, lol, lol.

RNS-E chrome: small knob £8.24 large knob is £15.44 back order

****** sline badge for TT mfsw flat bottom is £16, christ gold pressed platinum, but the larger trim is £4, urrrrmmm stealersssssssssssssssss

Would you adam & eve it, when I got my rs4 alcantara steering wheel for my S3, it came with an sline badge, lol, its the same damn one I think as the one I want for my mfsw, they show the part number on all the cars for sline badges, lol, we'll see in next few days if it is same as the image you show is identical, now thats a result.

not yet mitch. I was expecting a question about that as soon as I posted about the latest update.

I've had quite a few questions about the new lights, so as soon as I see the update coming through I'll post the numbers.

Dunno what you guys think-(only minor detail) but I prefer the current hazard triangle button at the mo- the facelift one is hardly thrilling is it!

I dunno really I like the new row of buttons, it has a nice flush feeling as though it was just a trim, I like it tbh, but god knows how much cost to change as I know what it cost for my new buttons when did rns.

Matt the lucky sod bought a whole cage with buttons on fleabay for next to nothing, little *****, lol, lol.

Matt the lucky sod bought a whole cage with buttons on fleabay for next to nothing, little *****, lol, lol.

:yahoo:

Not quite the whole cage I got for £23 all posted:-
Double din cage
Switch bank
ESP switch
Passanger airbag light (mine in the interior light so had to buy the blank)
Hazard switch
Money/business card tray

Had to buy left and right blanking switch and trim to go around the switches.

Single to double din install went like a dream last night, triming climate control down etc. I bought a cheap symphony 6 disk double din from fleabay until I pick up an rns-e. After install I coded, radio worked ok inserted a CD in slot 1 it would not load, so tried slot 2, no joy so tried 3, last attempt tried 4 and it took the ****** thing in slot 1. It then would not eject any CD's so spent the next hour and a million screws stripping the symphony unit down to remove the CD's including the girlfriends westlife cd (which if it was the only one in there would have stayed in).
Its now boxed up going back to the seller for a refund

Got confirmation yesterday that my "Navi Knopfe" had shipped.

He sent me the installation instructions. I assumed they just clipped on over the top of the existing ones like the alurings ones, but it looks as if it is a unit out, front off job and that the new ones actually replace the existing ones altogether.

Has anybody had the front off their RNS-e before, and if so is it easy?

Surely they just pull of the front as most others always have, I cant imagine its front of for that job marc, audi wouldnt sell them as replacements if you have to disassemble the front panel fella, they just wouldnt, you know them, anything thats easy then sell it, check with Rabbit on navplus to check how to take them of, there's no way you would have to do all that for the knobs, I'm gonna try mine now, brb...........................................................................................................
Yeah the top knob pops of for easy change over, the bottom actually has a cap that pops of 1st & then one would assume it comes of easily from there, but it doesnt, I do see a straight screw head that maybe can be unscrewed but havnt tried yet, come on cant do it all as working on rs4 start button, Marc get your *** up & let us know if bottom one unscrews mate, lol, lol, update on rs4 button going on now mate.

I'm not being lazy, I was just going to wait until I had the new dials in my hand to see how they connect. My German from school is a bit rusty, and the translated version of the word doc I posted mentions screwing something or other.

I did doubt that it was a face off job, so hopefully it'll just be plug and play.

Here is the translated version:
Conversion instructions.

• MMI button to deduct is the base.

• Then the new button to pierce the inner bracket.

• Then the new aufstecken button again.

The volume control on the match 1:1 holder of the old button.

When new RNA-E are also buttons down.
You can then easily be deducted.

In older RNS-E, this Teilzerlegt.

• Navi display down,
• Navi out of the car expand
• cover,
• screws around the aperture unscrew
• Display unscrew,
• ribbon wire (plug pulled),
• unscrew aperture,
• aperture abstecken and decompose,
• volume control subtract
• new aufstecken,

everything again ... Test done.

It can not go wrong again be built. It fits everything in one place. It is nevertheless repeatedly photos on cutting and to make the parts in order to lay the table, as you have been expanded.

Much success in transforming

It seems to suggest a need to remove the display and front to change. Like I said, I'll wait until the bits arrive before dismantling anything.

Well large button is so ****** easy a child could & would do, which reminds me I must gue them in palce so my future kids cant take them of, lol, lol, anyway it just lines up to a notch, also I think maybe the main power button unscrews from the front, I will test later.

But I reiterate there is no way it would be a take front of job, no way, knowing audi they can be thick but not that thick on an interior item like that, it pops of somehow for sure, just have to figure wthout damaging.
