They really are taking reducing unsprung weight to the extreme, i think the Roger Clark Motorsport Impreza that runs in the Time Attack series runs these wheels.

im sure rally cars etc use the same type of material...if they are the same,they dont last nowhere near as long as normal alloys for some reason...... read about them years ago...... dont recall the full reasons
