hi can someone tell me if the lens on the headlights be replaced as mine is badly chipped, so wondering if you can change them without replacing the whole headlight

You can remove the lens from the headlight but I doubt very much wether Audi will sell you just a lens on its own.

It will probably mean a new headlight.

Audi's parts catalogue only lists complete headlights.

But there could be another option. eBay have various used ones that goes very cheap. Some of them are as good as new! Or buy some cheap halo-xenon-lookalikes and hope that the plasticlens match in size. Measure up and if they don't match then return.

OR you could try and use polish. Sand them down, polish into fine swirls, use special plastic swirlremover and buff to a new shine...

If you can polish out large chips you can make a fortune!

Hehe...wouldn't that be sweet. Well I thought that 'badly chipped' meant a lot of small chips and that would be, within reason, fairly easy to remove with the right equipment.

Heavy stone chip would probably require new plastic.

thanks for the help, there not really chips more like very light spot scratch if that makes any sense,it looks like if its got dirt on it, so what sort of poilsh can i use??
