Lamborghini 'Calisto' Wheels

Alright folks...

Not usually a big fan of the whole 'euro' styling thing of interchanging wheels between different marques but lately these have caught my eye and they must be some of the best looking wheels on any car...

I'm not a fan of the standard Gallardo wheels but i recon these ould look fantastic on any Audi and i was wondering if any of you have seen any quality replicas or know where i could find some??


On another note.... Some of you may be aware it's the world snooker championships in Sheffield at the moment. I was out last night in Sheffield and was lucky enough to have a lok around Ronny O'Sullivans white Audi R8 and Jimmy White's pearl orange Lambo Gallardo Superleggera parked outside a bar side by side. Needless to say i was nursing a semi. Was a rare opportunity to compare the R8 with it's big brother in the flesh!

See those wheels most days on a black gallardo. Pictures do not show the true level of detail on the wheels in my opinion.

eBay is gonna be the cheapest place. Someone out there will replace their gallardo wheels for bigger ones.

standard wheels on the gallardo coupe are naff, look like a standard pair of rover wheels.

those you have there are an performance option, dont know if it improves performances but the italians love using unwarranted words, and they cost quite a bit more.

we got a set of them, and i can tell you they are a ****** to keep clean.
Not sure what they would look like on an A3 though.

Although if someone was to be replacing their wheels on a "Gallardo" would they really put the old ones on eBay? I think its a fairly safe bet they wont need the cash to pay for the new ones.

I doubt anyone would be getting bigger ones. When you put full lock on a gallardo the pzero tyres scrub againts the body work. If you put bigger wheels on it then would would damage the already appauling turning circle.

i agree, they would never appear on ebay, not real ones anyway.

Either ebay or somewhere like Kahn. I know a guy who bought a set of 19" Bentley rims to go on his TT from Kahn, he paid £700 and they're worth £3-4k. I've seen a Gallardo on 20" front, 21" rear. Hence why some1 would sell them

I think they only make the Calisto's in 19's. Well thats all i've seen anyway. The Gallardo is a small car side on (both length and height) so anything too big will start to look a bit overpowering.

Anyone a fan of the Volk Racing Progressive ME's? Look a bit tasty to me...

I LOVE the Volk Progressiv MEs and have just posted a pic on another thread. Here they are, they are quite expensive, but are a light weight forged wheel and race spec strength!!

Available from Designer Wheels, funnily enough!!!

The Calisto wheels are 19 x 8.5 at the front and 19 x 11 at the back so you'd need 4 x fronts anyway even if the ET did work.
