Why Does NO ONE have the 2008 A4?????

no one has it because its not available o.t.r. yet!!!

The S-LINE model that is which is the one I am going for...

se sucks too bland that probably why
not many peeps have new a4 yet on the road
LOL

I haven't got the B8 A4, because I can't afford one.

Secondly, my B5 will look and perform better than a B8 model.

I would hang on till s-line is out (not just orders) actually on the road!

plus later there is usually deals. but not at the mo with it being new

bit like w**.audi.co.uk/audi/uk/en2/new_cars/current_offers.html

I see, ok makes sense. The only model I can get here is the 1.8T SE which is why I'm still a bit hessitant, so wanna see what comes out soon

I was stuck next to a 2008 1.8T SE A4 in a traffic jam on Friday night.
Black one.
It looked awful.
Tiny little wheels were especially noticeable.:wtf:
Don't like the 'droopy' rear light either.
Whilst bigger S-line wheels will undoubtedly help the styling, it won't do anything about the droopy rear lights.
I think you're right to be hesitant, at least until S-lines come out.

I picked my A4 2.0 tdi SE up last week and have to say im very impressed, equipment levels are very good and as i do over a 1000 miles a week the fuel economy is superb, avg about 45mpg at the mo, my only complaint are the wheel's they are to small 17" they just dont look big enough!! but i parked next to my mates BMW 3 and it looks so much better, the front looks fantastic not so sure about the rear but i think it will grow on me

I looked at ordering the new A4 S-Line, but it was going to be a long wait, and wasnt cheap.

So decided to get another S-Line A3, but this time a 2.0TDI 170.

i got it in silver, i will give it a clean in the morning and post some pics its a bit dirty at the mo

I can't wait to see what bits I might be able to 'pinch' from the B8s to keep up the OEM+ modifying on my B6 cabriolet. Have seen a few down this way in Essex as we have a few large Audi dealers

not without a remap and more it won't

Lol buddy, you're obviously new here.

My car's having more than a remap, and more, and more, and more...

Welcome aboard.

Just read your "Project B5 RS4 Sedan... " thread, I kinda get the joke now

As for the new A4, I suppose they are gonna have a fairly luke warm reception as the only ones you see on the road are boggo standard..i am sure when the S-lines become a more familiar sight they will be accepted

Here is a pic of my new Audi A4 SE

:o.k: I do like the front of the new ones! Am looking forward to seeing my first Avant.

I have the New s-line not sure i can copy the pics here but if u go to the A3 section and see the thred "farewell but not goodbye" there are some pictures there.

Only had it a week, am very pleased so far will write a full review when I can.

Thought it was being discontinude & being replaced with the A5 cabrio

I've just picked up a used (!) B8 A4 2.0TDI SE. I'll not be too specific about the details, but it was apparently a customer order that was correct, apart from the colour. Needless to say, I got a good price reduction from list price for less than 1500 miles on the clock.

The good? Nice interior (after an 8P A3 and a B6 A4), nice engine (much smoother than the 2.0TDI 170 on my old A3), comfortable ride (what?! I'm an old man - I tried an S-line and nearly cracked something) and plenty of toys (GSM prep, leather and cruise control above the SE spec.) The new 6-speed manual box is very nice, too.

The bad? The engine lacks some of the poke of the 2.0TDI 170 (obviously!) and I'm not convinced it's as torquey as the 2.0TDI 140. It's much more like a petrol engine in general driveability. As mentioned previously, there's a definite issue with the positioning of the clutch pedal and the driver's footrest; I've found that moving your leg over to the right and twisting your ankle to the left helps, or lifting your heel off the floor and "pointing" your foot. I've got used to it fairly quickly - I just think it's a bit "different" to previous Audi pedal layouts.

hi
just had a B8 loaner from the dealer.
it cured me from wanting one! as mentioned before: driving position: the clutch is where the brake pedal should be! i think all the plastic on the centre console looks very cheap (compared to the B7). next: why did they make the climate control so difficult via the screen?? the ride was not great either, maybe because it was an SE, but i didnt like the suspension (too soft), the powersteering has no feel at all.
I like the looks of the exterior tho, and the instrument cluster is nice aswell. the engine was ok. in gear was not bad at all for a 2.0tdi.
but i couldnt spend this kind of money on a car with these kind of flaws...

Went to the local dealer yesterday where they had a 2.0TDI SE Avant 'totally' packed with goodies. The sales guy recons that there will be a greater number of SE buyers over S-Line because of the £2,500 price hike (used to be £750). Also the SE is made to look more sharp, although it doesn't have the skirts etc...

I am holding out for the S-line which again the guy said has been lowered by 20mm, usual sports interior with half leather fully adjustable chairs and black roof lining. Wondering whether it is going to make the cockpit a little bit too dark though...we shall see.

For anyone still interested in petrol the 2.0T is apparently out, altough I haven't seen it on the web. 211bhp and 43mpg.
