Some advice please....

Hopefully over the bank holiday i'll be going to town on my brilliant black S3 after the long hard winter. Please can someone more educated than me tell me if it's wise to do what i'm going to. I've done alot of reading and just want to clarify my chosen products are mixable!

1-Wash with Autoglym bodywork shampoo (Because got loads of it)
2-Clay bar paint work (open to suggestions of which to use)
3-Polish using Autoglym Super Resin Polish (Because got loads of it)
4-Finally wax using Nattys blue

Also what do people use to clean the textured dash in A3's?

Can't see anything wrong with that mate tbh. Id go for a Meg's clay kit, readily available in your nearest Halfauds.
I find the Autoglym can leave a non-perferct finish, on black it has to be mint. I stopped using it. Got a garage full of polishes, waxes, pastes etc etc.

Don't suppose your username is taken off a certain Gabba DJ?

I also found Autoglym leaves a 'haze' on black paint, so I stopped using it too.
Only Autoglym product I use now is wheel cleaner.
With regard to the interior, I can't see past armorall protectant (matt), with a microfibre cloth.
Important you use a microfibre cloth, I found.
A normal cloth will 'catch' in the textured dashboard finish, leaving 'bits' all over the place.

That's exactly what i've always experienced with the cloth catching on the dash - i'll definitely try out a microfibre cloth - Cheers Bowfer

The best results by hand on a black car was using a clay bar, then Meg's 3-step, finished off with a txt wax.

Wouldnt be the mighty Loftgroover would it par chance?

Just goes to show their marketing works well.
It's 'perceived' as the best.
Their packaging is clever too.
It looks classy and expensive, with crests and discrete logos and classy fonts, using easy on the eye colours.
It also mentions that they're used by Jaguar etc.etc.
Compare it with a bottle of Meguires NXT (or whatever), with horrible fonts, horrible colours and horrible flashy drawings of 'max power' style cars.
I know better now, but it would be easy to dismiss the Meguires as a bit 'chav', on the packaging alone.
Look at the differences here.
Which looks 'classier', to the uninitiated??

Agreed. Far better product in my opinion. If only it was better packaged. Feel like taking the labels off as i feel too old to use the damn things.

All looks good above, Megs Quik Clay is great for novices and for the interior, I would recommend Poorboys Natural Look Dressing applied using a microfibre pad (Meguiars do nice ones).

try ag ultra deep shine, make the wifes black golf look like its been resprayed. just do a small area and you can see how much darker the paint looks.
