Just a quick headsup, as if you didn't know already.... and probably should be in the rants section.
There seems to be a lot of these in circulation - new style ones -, I've had people try and spend these in my shop for the last three days, usually a chav type little kid with a baseball cap on, some have even been regular customers the cheeky little buggers.
Not being big headed, but I have been dealing with a lot of £20 notes for the last 8 years, so I can most probably tell a fake upon touching them 95% of the time, but these new ones are really good copies, including a dodgy strip which does go inbetween the paper, but looks more like tooth floss than a silver strip.
My problem is the type of abuse I start to get when I tell them it's a fake, it's not like I gave it to them, and I certainly don't need to explain to them why it's a fake!? But they want explanations and demand to see a real one for comparison, like I'm going to hand one over to them to inspect lol.
I also know that as a duty to the general public, I'm suppose to confiscate them and call the police, but to save hassle/confrontation, I give it them back, and tell them politely to leave my shop if they are not ordering.
Anyways, just wanted to get it off my chest, rant over.
