Hi I ordered my Audi way back in January and have just been told it won't be getting built til the week commencing 28th of April so practically May, I've read on here that the face lifted model is due to be built in May, I'm guessing i'll still get the current model as the options on the newer one will be different, but just want to check on here, see if anyone thinks I'll get the facelifted model?

can't see that they can supply you facelifted model if you haven't 'chosen' it, yu have spent £20 odd thousand of your hard earned pounds on the car you saw in the showroom/brochure so surely that's what you get?

I may be being totally naive and underestimating the german giants arrogance "we will supply you with the car of our choice and you vill be grateful"!

My bro said to me a year ago that vag would take over the world, seems to be happening!

Had a call from my dealer today also regarding my A3. Car ordered 18th Feb and was promised 18th May delivery but now been pushed back to 18th June, reason given was 'huge surge of demands throughout Europe'. Tried to push the facelift issue and he plain dismissed it as rumours, only thing I managed to get off him was a free courtesy car of similar specification on the date my car was suppose to due.

that means all a3 orders likely to go back? i ordered mine 3 weeks ago just after bank hol and got date of 9th june

I heard similar from my Dealer about there being very high demand.

I am still waiting for a build date for the S3 that I ordered on the 30th of January.

I hope that I don't get a facelifted version as I am not very keen on the look and I have already bought some PIAA bulbs for the DRLs.

Well If mines been pushed back to 18th June and i ordered over 2 months ago, then chances are yours will be too as there is a huge backorder of A3 in Europe.

I cant believe you have been waiting since January just for for a build date. I hope this is down to a useless dealer. I dont think i can wait that long.

I ordered mine at the same time and i havent been given an estimated date yet, is yours an A3 or an S3? Wonder if that makes a difference.

Interesting. When i called my dealer yesterday i spoke to the woman that deals with the orders and she told me there had been an update and she had passed it onto the sales guy that did the deal and when i spoke to him he told me that there was nothing new to tell me other than it had been ordered, still no week build.

Im concerned that the 8-12 week estimate is going to be way off.

Yes they would!

The last car I ordered from Audi 3 years ago was just during the last face lift (front single grille etc). The car I tested was the old model, and the car I received was the new one (one of the very first in the UK), and I had no indication on whether it would be the case.

I don't think they would stop taking orders for 3 months before starting the production of the new model (and then wait for orders).

They won't communicate on the face lift in order to keep getting orders, else many people would just hold off. I am sure on the actual order paperwork, there is a disclaimer regarding changes of specifications (as per the brochures).

 i don't want facelift, i want what i ordered! will have to see what happens i suppose as they don't seem to be telling anyone anything at this stage

i don't know for sure but would suspect both, can't see that they would do one without the other

Well if week 22 is the date they start building the facelift model then I should get the current one as April the 28th is week 18, was actually contemplating cancelling the order as its a company car and at the time of order way back in January I didn't get told that the bluetooth is practically useless without the MFSW or sat nav, when I rang the leasing company and she told me it wasn't geting built til the 28th of April I asked if it was possible to add the MFSW but got told once you've been given a build date you can't change the order, only way round it is too cancel and re-order which would of taken me to September and most probably the facelift model, which would mean more months of driving around in a dying Peugeot 407 Estate 1.6HDi (sorry for swearing:w00t:).

I would say that anyone ordering now would prob get the facelift model as the build date is going to be after week 22 and I can't see them making both models at the same time!

Am i right in thinking that the S3 wont be getting the facelift?
