My mate and I always chat about this whilst walking at lunchtimes...in no order - dont forget must be realistic.

  • Mk 1 escort Mexico with cage - yellow with black stripe !!
  • Mk 2 Golf G60 - Rallye or Edition 1 - with chip n'pulley
  • Renault Clio Williams
  • BMW E30 325i sport - or M3
  • Cavalier GSi 4x4 or Turbo - have to be mint though

Any opinions - gotta be an interesting topic :racer:

1) reanault 5gtt- mint
2) escort s1 rs t- mint
3) toyota mr2 turbo rev3
4) renault clio 182
5) old skool mini with hyabusa turbo

Hyabusa turbo in a mini - thats cool....

Yes should have added an Escort Cosworth....

1) E30 325 M-Sport Convertible with full leather and 4 headrests!
2) EG9 Civic VTi Saloon
3) R5 GTT
4) Ford Sierra Saphire Cosworth
5) Nissan Skyline R32 GTR V-Spec
And if i had more space it would have to be my old B5 A4 1.8T!

Golf Rallye (oh wait, have one!)
UR Quattro... Preferably a DIALYNX SWB Sport Replica
Escort Cosworth
Lotus Carlton

Cant pick a last one, and cars are for gays anyway, so Ill have 3 bikes instead... MV Augusta F750, Kawasaki ZXR400 and a Kawasaki KR1S

That 600bhp RS4 Powered S3 we saw on here a few days back. That would cover my top 5 nicely thanks.
Slightly cheesy, but a classic V8 with a small block chevy dropped in.. Camaro, Mustang, etc etc.

[*]Mk 2 Golf G60 - Rallye or Edition 1 - with chip n'pulley
[*]Renault Clio Williams

Me and my best mates cars :p

Williams 3, rarest of them all, in a different (nicer, deerp) shade of blue to the first two, this one was actually really prouduced in smaller numbers, and far better equipped! (Also the Speedlines fitted as standard are an extra half an inch wider on the Williams 3)

Yes, I'd have my old CBR 600 FX back - polished wheels, colour coded hugger, swede seat and all sorts of polished bits........cant imagine the wife would allow though now we have our son !!! Gotta allow the other half to think I'm under the thumb...

UR Quattro... Preferably a DIALYNX SWB Sport Replica - not realistic mate, otherwise I would have included several Porche's

Errm, it is a realistic possibility! So is owning a Porsche as a car tucked up in the garage!

The Conversion to SWB by Dialynx's cost is dependant on your specification. Im not talking about the Genuine SportQuattros here

I was contemplating getting one done when I was going to sell my Rallye 1st time around

See where your coming from with the conversion.......but gotta be very well off to have an expensive car just sat in the garage for polishing and taking out on sunny days mate - Porsche I'd like is the last of the air cooled - going up in price if anything and not realistic at all...........

Nice picture of the Rallye and Clio by the way:thumbsup:

Id say its totally realistic, I know loads of people with cars tucked away in garages, dunno maybe its just where Im from but its not unusual at all! Youd be amazed at whats hidden behind a few garages near you Id say

Family friend has a 911 Targa with the Whale Tail tucked up along side a Caterham in his garage, uses an A4 daily

Alot of people now seem to have nice cars hidden away, nice safe place to keep your money as they only seem to go up in price

1) 73' Porsche 911 RS Lightweight
2) Mercedes 600 Pullman
3) Mercedes 300SL Gullwing
4) Porsche 917
5) Metro 6R4

After much consideration.......

MK 1 Golf GTI ( Mint and 1.8t powered )

Westerfield ( Cossie Powered )

08 Roush Mustang

something wacky, like a shed with a engine!!

And last but no means least

Old rat look camper with a tuned scooby engine ( only cos my mate has one, very fast and scary ) I might have a video somewhere if anyone is interested?!

944 / 968 cabriolet!
Get a nice one for 5-7k and fab for summer!

Family friend has a 911 Targa with the Whale Tail

Sounds awful. Whale tails (i assume you mean the turbo spoiler) look hideous unless it's on a turbo and a 911 should be nothing but a coupe.

My '77 was a non sport with no front or rear spoiler with the chrome window and light surrounds. Nice, clean and simple.

Hate tarted up 70's and 80's 911's with cups on etc....

I've already got mine....
S3 and Ibiza outside, and this sat in the garage waiting for those sunny days:

Now brown is a good colour!

Mine was petrol blue which is very similar to the lahsa green they used on the MK1 golf. Speaking of which, my MK1 GTI cabby is gold with the beige hood and brown dashboard. Proper 80's!

And floored with the 14 inch BBs's...

JCS, is that a Chesil one?

Im a biiiiig fan of all the Aircooled stuff, learned on those engines when I was 10 with my older brother, what got me into VWs and then Audis!

Fell in love with the Speedster when I saw Kelly McGillis in one in Top Gun and saved and saved until I could afford one. I even delayed buying my S3 by 3 years to buy the Speedster first!

My Dad always wanted to build one with me and my bro, sadly thats not gonna happen now

Would love to get one, think TopGun is one of my reasons for loving them too!

I keep looking at Karmann Ghias but have to tell myself no, Id probably opt for one of them over a Chesil in reality as Ive always had a great love for them

Stunning car you have there tho, one very jealous aircooled lover here

I Just realised the 'realistic' part to this thread.

Scrap all mine.

Lad round here had a stunning Silver/Grey one of these... He pretty much wrecked it tho

I have a secret love for old Fords too that I hide but cant deny

Think we all do! I grew up with RST's, Cossie's being ragged round, and loved em!
I went to college with a lad who had an RS1600i, left hooker, and was mint! Shame all we used to do in it was smoke weed lol! Everyone used to tell me what a nice car i had, as id be sat in the right side lol! Was gooood for the ladies!!

One of my earliest memories with cars is having to get towed home in my dads XR3I because it broke down!

good post.

1.astra gte champion
2.escort cosworth
3.lancia delta
4.cav gsi2000
5.corrado g60

i no i could quite easily afford some of these now but holding out for the S3

1. Original SWB Audi UR quattro(notice the small q, not big Q)
2. Mitsubishi Evolution VI Extreme or TME
3. Mint Mk2 Golf GTI G60 in Aubergine
4. Escort Cosworth running 350bhp+
5. Nissan Skyline R32 running 450bhp+

This is so hard, I'm not even convinced the above is my top 5 'realistic' cars for dry use only.... my S3 hardly comes out these days as it is lol.
