Got a 2000 S4 and in need of someone/somewhere that sells carbon goodies... I have all the carbon trim inside but want some for the outside... Anyone know of somewhere?

Thanks

You can get carbon effect lip spoilers and sometimes B-pillar covers off eBay, but nothing else off the shelf that springs to mind.

Bravo, I may switch to a CF bonnet, but I don't want to use bonnet pins, don't like them.

What's your take on this? It'll be a post facelift one, with the concealed washer jets.

They bounce and flex so much with the wind its down to how good the catch is fixed and if it could break away from the bonnet unnder force. What about the new flush type bonnet pins?

I've seen the flush-type bonnet pins, but still rather have none.

Is it possible to have metal reinforcements on the underside? In short, have the CF skin fittet to the skeleton / frame of a metal bonnet?

Anything is possible, but then your adding weight back to it sort of defeating its purpose.

I had a mate who fixed a small chain to another location under the bonnet and to his car so if the catch did die the chain would stop the bonnet flying up enough for him to stop and sort it out.

i would state that you do have pins fitted for your safty I dont but im taking the chance but what markey said is a really good idea.

in short pins should always be used on glass / carbon bonnets

the flush fit items look cool i need to find a company that makes them as i would have them. just for peace of mind

I won't be going CF for weight saving, more for a visual effect.

Got me a few carbon underbonnet goodies if that's your thing. X-1 intake kit from the states and engine covers off ebay. Becoming a bit of a carbon whore myself, just can't find much that takes my fancy. Mirror caps one day, plus some B-pillars would be nice.

Anyway any chance for a pic!

And yes my filter is a little squashed but thats cos of xenons, still works the same though!

Nice! Were the CF engine covers cheaper than buying RS4 items?

I got the engine covers for mine for £50, so quite a bit cheaper than RS4 ones, think the guy must've had them made. I did the satin black y-pipe, tidied up the old tired silver and complements the carbon nicely.

I also have a nice genuine weave battery cover on there too, just out of shot, made by a company called Carbonmods, another cheap ebay buy, £15 delivered, and they made it to the length I wanted.
