Hi Guys,

Went to Top Gear in stockport earlier today to get my exhaust tips welded on and what a fantastic job Craig and Andy did, their customer service, and knowledge was superb! :thumbsup:phantom was there also having some H&R 25mm springs put on his lovely black S3 :eyebrows: Top Gear are highly recommended!! For those in the NorthWest plus they give great discount to Audi-Sport members!

I was speaking to Andy, about most people's ongoing concerns with rear arches and 19"s+lowering. His advice to me was to remove the arch lining, which is just held in via some torq screws and then just spray the whole arch with some Waxoyl and it should be job done! The waxoyl just protects the arches from rusting out in the winter! I dunno if any of you guys know this already, but I didn't so I thought I would just let you know! I'm gonna give it ago anyway, so hopefully I don't incur "rubbing" problems next month when the coilys and 19"s go on!

Ta. Nath

P.S. - I'll get some exhaust pics up on the weekend, cars a tad FILTHY at the mo! :haha:

Hiya mate nice to meet you , i'm gonna wait till i get the spacers on then do a thread with pic's , give the jalopy a clean as well.

The spacers are gonna add 20mil of track per axel , so i don't want big the springs up just yet........lets just say it looks and drives FINE!

It was a pleasuring meeting you as well. Yeh suspension takes about 1,000miles to settle in properly, it'll be looking the dogs then! :eyebrows:

Phantom, Did you get a price for the spacers from Topgear? Do they do the H&R spacers only?

I think Phantom said £105??! :ermm:

Yeah TopGear can get them for £105 for 4 10mil H&R spacers!:eyebrows:

They sell differet makes of spacer, i don't think they can get MTM if thats what your thinking John?

The 25 mil H&R springs were £175 IMHO they look :hubbahubba: just how a top of the range sport model should look.....i think you do need the spacers if your dropping it!

Seriously... £105.00 including VAT for 4 H&R 10mm spacers?? Thats very tempting. How much to fit them?
Christ i might have the springs done on mine as well while i'm at it.

My insurance company have just told me I will be refused cover if I put spacers on! They cover a remap but not spacers!?!

I'd check with your insurance co. before buying. I've never had any probs in the past but esure wouldn't budge. (won't be going with them next time)

May have 2 x 10mm H&R spacers going if anyone is interested
