HI all

Im handing my car over to revo next week for a remap, cant wait to get it back! I was just wondering if there are any other mods i should add to compliment the remap? I see most folk hae a forge 007p? Should I bother gettin one of these? I want to add other mods, but without going down the route of bigger turbo etc, and keeping the car reliable! Any reccommendations?

Thanks Again Fellas

many people also use the green cotton panel filter. i have a revo remap with the 007p but will be looking to get the air filter soon

Hi Donnie....from what i understand, the 007p is for reliability (when remapped) and a bit of noise...although some people have reported slightly quicker response times with it...ive stuck with the stock item which is prone to breaking due to its paper filter.... will change for the 007p when it goes.... what car have you got?

I have a 99 s3 non esp model, not sure what code this falls under. Im new to audi cars so a little un educated!! I have the standard DV just now, but when changing gear it makes a hell of a hisshh, I can hear clearly from inside the car! My cousins s3 doesnt do this! Could mine be faulty?

Probably an APY engine.
Is your S3 standard? If you can hear it 'dump' when changing gear you've either got a boost leak somewhere or an air filter like a K&N cone filter will make it louder.

I can hear my atandard S3 'Dump' slightly and I dont have a boost leak or cone filter.

Forge DV, cotton panel filter, remap = pretty loud recirulation dump

Yes it will do mate as thats just the sound of the air rushing into the TIP as the DV opens up.
D18ony is hearing 'hell of a hisshh' - this isnt normal..

if i had a boost leak would a fault code not come up? I have fault code 17841 Secondary Air Pump Relay (J299): Open Circuit, but apparently this is down to a faulty relay? My car is completely standard as far as im aware. But it does feel quite sluggish. I'll ask the guys at revo to have a check over things

If you had a boost leak you would probably hear it 'dumping' or a whooshing noise under boost.
All you can do is check all the hose clips are tight and no hoses are loose
Intercooler hoses are quite common to pop off but you would notice a serious drop in performance if this happend..
