Welcome. If you ordered in October I hope you've got it by now!!:hi:

Yeah, was due late feb but I decided to wait for the new plates in March!

Had it for a month now,and the engine is run in now(I dont rack up big miles weekly)

I just love not filling up with petrol every week like I had too with the old V6 petrol I used to have.I do miss the lack of revs a bit but to be honest the 170 TDI feels very nimble through all the gears

What spec is it, we went for an Sline 170 Quattro sportback with Open sky, MFSW, 20 spokes, MSFW, blue tooth, Armrest GSM, Rear armrest, Storage etc... wish we'd gone for Bose & iPOD link now but at least the Aux in is a great new free feature. Missing our V6 still though as well!! Hope you got at least 12% off!:hi:

Its a pretty standard SE S tronic package mate, the only thing apart from the colour I upgraded was the seats to the more sporty Alcantara/leather ones.I have the standard music system too,but it sounds fine once you EQ it and crank it.
The Aux input is a bonus I didnt think I was getting!I have a Tom Tom 910 from the old car that is now in The A3 and its great to be able to play lots of Mp3's

Have to say I dont use the Gear change paddles on the steering wheel a lot!A mate has a Q7 and he amazed me by telling me he just drives it in Drive.I know how he feels now, they feel like there in the wrong place and they go back to normal drive mode quickly. Its good to knock it down a couple of gears and over take, but the kick down in Drive works a treat.

See so many Audis these days on the road, thank god we dont have to do the Motorbike head nodding thing I used to do on my ZXR750 every time another bike came along!

Sounds great, miss the Leather/Alc combination ours is all (cold) leather.

Where do you mount Tom Tom, ours keeps falling off screen and thinking about an alternative location.

Would post pics here If I could Steve,I can just about operate a computer let alone post photos online!

Ricardo/Yeah the seats are great.I had full leather black seats in my other car and they used to be ****** hot in the summer!

So far the Tom Tom mounts fines in the bottom mid of windscreen between the air outlets.I stuck it there so it doesnt get a blast of hot air when I have to defrost the screen on the freezing mornings we have had in the past.It has stuck there like a Limpet, perhaps you drive too fast and the G force is pulling at it;)

hiya mate welcome to the site

to post pics you first need a host

a good one is www.photobucket.com

u need to take the code from the page

Don't really like it in Mid screen, looking for an option to have to the right of s/wheel or even in front of gear lever, anyoneused brodit mounts or anything else? The Tom Tom 'sink plunger' sucker mount is crap really. Any great ideas folks?:jump:

Yeah you ever love em or hate them,my self being an old GnT drinking duffer think they look the best of the inlays.A mate has matt brushed aluminium inlays in his Q7 and he he realy likes these ones more.

I'm an old duffer too but think wood should remain in old Beige Rovers and Triumphs. At least the A3 colour isn't too bad unlike some of the pale stuff in the A6 options list. I suppose in a Chelsea Tractor it may be more appropriate to carve your initials into.:gaehn:

Yeah Mate, some of those pale colours are pretty dire!when you go to the colour config section on the audi Build page there isnt realy a great deal to choose from!

Aluminium/Silver/ Carbon fibre IMHO... Wood is for trees, fences and woodworm!:blackrs4:

Have you got your tom Tom cradle sorted out yet?

Nope, too busy. Fancy one I can just drop it into hard wired but want to see one first. Any ideas? All a bit naff after 2 years of Audi standard fit DVD Sat NAv but not paying 2k!!

I agree there ****** expensive!Best bet is to get your girlfriend to hold tomtom where you damm well want it!sure she may moan a bit and her arms will get exhausted but at least you will have it in the location you want:w00t:

Joking aside the hard wired ones must cost a bundle to fit anyway?Sure some lads on here have gone that route, hopefully some one will offer some help!

Welcome to the site J.
Where in salisbury do you work? Churchfields by any chance? My Bro works for 4com on Churchfields and i'm a born and bred Salisbury lad.
Like the car mate looks nice.
Enjoy the site

I'm over the over side of salisbury on the Harnham trading estate,I'm glad I'm there rather than Churchfields!Thats a nightmare to drive through in rush hour.

Thanks for the welcome, your car looks like real eye candy-that colour is very striking

Cheers J. Took me ages to find it in Nogaro blue but well worth the wait i think. Its different on a TT.
Are, is it 'Auto Tech' still on the harnham estate? Think thats them. They did some work on my last car and were pretty good.
