Just thought I'd post some newer pics. Have made a couple of changes. Now have the black optics grille fitted and had the front windows untinted (if thats a word)

Comments welcome!

love it!

The black optic grill looks amazing on the RS4, aggressive yet subtle.

When i put the black optic pack on my S3 i changed the plates , see what you think i think it looks less cluttered , more aggresive with the black boarder and no blue GB badge!

Very nice! Would look rubbish on my car though, looks awesome on black or white cars.

Very nice. Is that its normal parking place or do you have somewhere off the road to park it?

Lovely S3 that, black Audi + black optics grill + anthracite/gun metal alloys = heaven! Cant wait for my phantom black A3 S-Line with black styling package to arrive now!

They definitley suit black cars the optic grills - just waiting for the number plate insert and new s-line badge to arrive then I can fit mine :)

Awesome pics Klauster, she's come up a treat!!

The shine just accentuates those flaired arches, those rear ones are *P*H*A*T*!!!

Looking good! Have you thought about fitting the black audi badge to the grille? might finish it off nicely.

By the way, is the gap between the grille and the bonnet normal, or did the bumper just not fit right when you put it back on?

Like it ........ like it a lot! (would look better on my drive though ;))

Need to hear the sound track now!

Looking very good with the black grill. Tempted to put one on mine, but not sure how it sits with a silver car. Does anyone know if the RS4 grill (with the hexagonal mesh) fits on an A3?

I have Craig Mudd booked in as soon as the days get long enough for a full full detailing session to take it back to brand new as I have noticed a few swirlings. Still loving it though

Sorry missed your question first time around, its Phantom Black :ninja:

Blimey. I thought that was Brillint Black. Isn't Brilliant Black really shiny, whereas Phantom Black is like a deep, dark shade like the Bat Mobile lol??

:anbet: PERFECT CAR!!
Looks stunning mate would choose that car over anything because its got everything you can possibly need. Performance / Practicality / Looks / Comfort... oh I could go on forever.
Excellent Klauster looks just right now.

lol.... Sound / Handling / Interior / Braking :anbet: Could still go on you know...

Looks lovely and clean, muscular as hell. Loving the black optics........the car has got so much presence :superman:

BUT

You need to change the front indicators to the clear ones that flash orange and it looks stupid now the back windows are tinted and the front ones not :tocktock:, you look like a taxi driver!!

I'm not being jealous or anything like that, I'm just telling you my HONEST opinion and what I would do if I had such a lovely car :respekt:

Thanks

Nath. :hi:

Nick,

Was your RS4 originally specced with the black optics kit? I'm a little confused as you don't have the chrome strips around the windows and yet you have the shiney exhaust tips and had the chrome grille surround...

To be honest I'd say it now looks like every other Audi with the privacy glass option!

Indicators are a big job. Needs new lamp units as the orange is built in. Its not as simple as replacing the bulbs :(

Not sure if it was originally with the black optics, all ive changed is the grille. When you say it looks like every other Audi, what do you mean?

I have no intention of getting rid of the orange indicators, like you say far too costly for a very (what i think) minor cosmetic change. I also think it looks good as it is.

Removing the tints at the rear would be a pain of a job, but I also think it looks good and nothing like a taxi (lol?) The tints are to serve a purpose, and I removed the front tints because they were illegal originally.

I appreciate your HONEST comments, but your wrong :haha: :lmfao:

Hi Chris,

Is there an easy way to find out this?

Cheers

Nick

I think it looks rubbish, no class or road presence at all, can't see why you bothered. In fact i heard there's a big fault in the chassis and they're all death traps. So listen...i'll do you a favour and give a straight swap for my A3.

No but seriously, beautiful car mate. Congratulations. One of the coolest cars on the planet and just does everything...effortlessly. Awesome. Keep posting photos!

The non-optics cars have the chrome/shiney stuff around the windows. Its possibly the hardest bit to change over which is what made me wonder if it originally had the black optics.

Audi don't to tinted widows at the front. If you spec the privacy glass option, you only get the rears done.

I could have got that wrong. I looked at mine tonight and its just silver bulbs - could be an easy mod if it was something you ever decided to go for.
