Hi All,
I'm posting this on behalf of my client. His S3 was stolen from his house in warwick on Monday night. His car is a 57 plate, ending in EXX. it's Imola yellow, so really does stand out.

If anyone sees this car, or you are offered this car, please drop me a line at alastair.cunningham@listersgroup.co.uk.

thanks all

I presume by now it will be in Eastern Europe by now....but you never know....

thanks

ali

How was it taken? They grab the keys from his home or another method.

im based in warwick and will keep my eyes open,

any more information on how it was lifted would be useful... i thought the immobiliser on these things was supposed to be the shiz

Ali

Sorry to hear that, I will keep an eye out as I work in Stratford myself...

know how he feels, my other car was towed off my drive last weekend and has been turing up in parts around the local area.

Hope he gets good news

broke in through the backdoor with a "diamond tipped glass hammer" the type of thing you'd find in coaches as an emergency glass breaker... apparently very quiet, and very easy to smash through double glazing! lifted the keys from inside, and his wallet, laptop and camera on the way out... i keep my keys in the front room to be honest. not worth risking my limbs for the sake of a car..

very sad state of affairs though isnt it...

im sorry to hear about your friend, i was broken into for my car keys which i always keep upstairs. when i shouted out of the window to see what all the noise was they came round the corner and shouted we are having your car give us your keys, and carried on smashing the door down, they got into my kitchen looked around found no keys and left. all this time i stayed up stairs on the phone to the police. although my car has a tracker and clifford blackjax i would never let them have it easy a house alarm is a must with a car that expensive, i now have a wheel lock/ gate lock and a camara. hope your friend gets his car back in one piece and they kill the scum who stole it

im sorry to hear, but if they want my car that bad they can have it.
my car will always be replaced, life and limbs are not so easy to get on e-bay !

thats if they get past the hungry boxer dog that is a very light sleeper :)

Anyone who breaks in and demands my car will have to prize the keys out of my dead fingers

I have double glazing and 5 point locking doors
House alarm is always on, even overnight
I keep the keys upstairs with me
I have a pacifier under my bed
The car is kept in the garage at all times when not being used

If we all simply handed over the keys when asked, this sort of thing will just get more common. You can only make it as difficult as possible, hence why cars are no longer hotwired.

Hope this guy manages to get his car back, but i fear its already long gone

Same with me, always check I am not being followed when I turn into my road and car always goes straight into the garage.

If anyone did break in i would just tell them it's the wifes car anyway. He !! He !!

I would say I hope he gets it back, but if it were mine I don't think I would want to see it again.

I have a garage and live in a nice crime free(ish) zone. I hardly ever lock the door. Great thing about working in the job I do, I get to see what sort of crime happens in a prospective house area!

Whats your address Nelson? :)

I was working nights on the night in question, and although I cover the whole county our place of work so to speak is half a mile from where the car was nicked from...shame the keeper didn't hear it go, as we would have had a good chance of getting behind it and getting it back for him...

This kind of thing isn't making me keen to buy a new one at all, especially as its nearby
I'll keep an eye out but like your own admission its probably eastern europe..I'd say Dubai/Saudi

normski.. what do you do? what involvment doy ou have with the police? Always handy to know! no news, so think its long gone.. also, the insurance company are now saying the may not pay out, as the car wasn't garaged! bit ironic really, as when he took the insurance out, he said he had a garage, but he didn't use it...they said "that's ok", and put it down as garaged!!! unfortunately, they don't have a record of the conversation.....apparently!!!

I thought insurers just recalculate the premium, they can't be THAt petty surely?

They will try to do anything to get out of paying!! I hope he gets it sorted Legal robbery I feel insurance!!. Although they say it comes in three's

1.Paying Stratford Audi prices for the car

2.Having it taken

3.Insurance problems

:salute:

hope it gets found, same thing happened to my mates CTR

If they don't pay out then surely he is left around 25k out of pocket :faint:

Lol...Tracker...now there's another story...

its simple, get clifford blackjax fitted, they can then only have your car for 30 seconds even with the keys untill it shuts down with all lights flashing and the alarm blazing its sound off. you have a discreet code pad fitted and you have to punch in the correct code for it to be diss-armed. dad had one on his jag, superb bit of kit.

Blackjax is for anti-carjacking. It'll do fek all if they've got the keys and just drive it off.

Not true. If that was the case when your getting "jacked" they have the keys then dont they?! I know how this system works my father had it in one of his old cars, and my neighbour has it.

When me and my dad went for a demo of the blackjax system at our local clifford dealer (SQ PLUS MANCHESTER) Phil there gave me the keys to his Lexus and said "there ya go try and have away with my car". So we jumps in his car and I drive off and the car shuts down completly after 30 seconds (the timing can be changed) Before the car completly shuts down it sounds off some warning beeps to alert you (incase you had forgotton to put the code in) then it shuts down and sounds a loud alarm and flashes all exterior lights. The car can then only be re-started once the correct code has been punching into the small discreet blackjax code pad, which can be located discreetly in the car.

So basically this system works weather you have the keys or not!!

Aiaudi, very sad to know about your client. Don't worry; we all are by your side. See Eastern Europe is not a small place for the specific car to be traced. It is like searching pebbles in a deep once. Cheer up Buddy; we will try our best for your client.

the car is probably in pieces and bits sold... unfortunately that is the world we live in...

Why do you aasume it's been stolen by East European?
Did you help them?
It`s sick. By the way I`am Polish but I didn` steal it. I got my own one.
Don`t you have car thieves in UK?
or are you gonna say that a briton would never steal or damaged somebody else`s car.
I know I know it`s much easier to blame f****ing east europeans.
HIPOCRYTE!!!
I`am not saying that there aren`t any thieves in Poland but every country has it`s one idiots. For me it`s typical british arrogancy and hypocrisy.
" I don`t know who steal it but it must have been some ****** east european!"
Well it is just common sense that it would be better and easier for an EE to steal it from for example germany as it is just over the border and there is no need for transforming it to LHD car!! or if it`s gonna be sold in parts there`d be more parts to sell. NO! east europeans prefer cars from UK just to **** it`s innocent citizens off!.

I`am sorry for all good britons as I have to admit I`ve met many nice britons. I`am just ****** off with being blamed (not personally of course) and acused of every sin of this world just because I`am East European.

Anyway I`feel sorry for the owner I hope Police`ll catch those ********.

ouch that was a bit below the belt! eastern european doesnt just mean Poland you know, there is other countries out there!!

Oh dear, perhaps kanievsky has just failed his promotion board for chief strawberry picker.......

Just an observation but the phrase was it could be in Eastern Europe by now so no mention of what nationality it was who might of stole it.
