Hi there ppl, i am interested in purchasing an rs4 style front bumper for my a3 but would like to know if anyone has fitted one of these and can hopefully post some pics up for me as to what it looks like.

this is the one im looking to buy; anyone bought and fitted this?

i think RichA3Turbo has fitted an rs4 style front bumper to his a3 but if anyone (hopefully rich himself) can confirm that he has id be very grateful.

also are they a nusiance to fit as i have heard stories of them being a pain to fit as some trimming is needed to fit and line up properly?

TBH i had mine from S3tuning.de and the fitting was pretty *****, Both Rich and factionone said the same from this supplier,
I really cant imagine the Ebay one's being any better?
 
As above I had one from S3-Tuning.de too and it was a real dogs dinner. Even with hours of bodging mine didn't look as tidy as Jay's.

I'd had stuff from S3-Tuning before and while that eventually went on and looked tidy it was hard work.

It's worth noting that the photo on the eBay listing is one that Carsten Nowak (aka S3 Tuning) had originally on his site. I don't know if that means it's him trading as something else now, he sold his "mould" or if someone's just pinched his photo...

How can i get hold of the supplier of this bumper as i dont think s3-tuning.de exists anymore as i cant through to the site; anyone else have this problem with the site?

im going to have a bodyshop fit fine so hopefully they can do the necessary trimmings to make it fit.

Jay do you have a lip attached to the bumper at the bottom??

sorry also where can i get the grill that you have got jay?

is the mesh in the lower grills just been cut to size to fit?

I dont believe S3tuning.de trade anymore? as they seem to have disapeared!

Mine has a Leon cupra R lip attached to the bumper just to finish it off, and the grill is a standard S3 grill with RGM balck plastic mesh cut to size in the bottom, but i do know that you can fit standard RS4 grills in the bottom too.

Jay or anyone, any idea of where i can purchase all the bits from i.e. the s3 grill and the rs4 lower grills????

i just need to find out whether or not he will ship to the UK. does anyone have any information of ordering things from abroad in terms of import taxes and things like that; i.e what charged will i need to look out for on top of shipping?

Iv contacted rs4-trade thanks to the link from 'beeitch' and they are able to ship the bumper to the UK for 60euros which aint too bad and they also sell original rs4 lower grilles and original rs4 fog lights to go with the bumper, so am now jus waiting on the prices of those before i make my decision, :).

i am going to purchase the main front grill elsewhere as it is an original s3 grille that fits so finding it shouldnt be a problem.

how hard is it to fit fog lights to an a3 which doesnt already have fogs??? I am looking to purchase the original rs4 fogs with this bumper so just wanted to know the steps on how to fit these to a3?

Not a fan of S3's but that red one does look pretty mean.
 
i recently purchased a rs4 front bumper for my a3 along with genuine s3 grille and rs4 lower mesh, i have now sold my a3 so i will be putting my bumper and bits up for sale, if anyone is interested there will be an add up in the classifieds as soon as i get some pics taken cheers
 
i think that looks well nice. wonder if it would look as good in black though. does anyone know how hard these would be to fit?

Yep mine is RS4 style also... Same as Jaywoo.

Was a pain in the **** to fit and took many hours or prep work before i gave it to the bodyshop, who hard to prep it even more.

Looks good though.
 
really liking the look of the rs4 bumper on an s3. do we know if they're a straight swap for the s3 or lots of mods?
 
The bumpers on a3's are a pretty much straight swap providing you manage to get a decent mould, dont konw about s3's but sitrials has got one for his?
 
I was going to go for a Zender front on mine but looking at these they seem good value at 120 GBP.

Are they really bad quality and fit then?

Mine was rippley as hell when i got it and the fiberglass was really thin so i had it refaced and block flatted, but after talkin and hearing from a few others i got a good mould!
 
The grill inside is the original rs4 (the same with the bumper but upsidedown).
The outside is plastic from s3-tuning that i buy the bumpers but now they dont exist any more i think.
 
Realy liking the look of this bumper, might have to look into getting one myself. What was the website for the best quality one poeple have found?

i got mine from germany it arrive cracked and according to the body shop was a write off waste of £120. i've had a go fixing it and will begetting sprayed and refitting again soon
 
Hi! Where i can now find rs4 style front? links doesn`t work ...
 
A regular RS4 bumper actually fits quite well around the lights and fenders. Of course you have to mold in the top half of the s3 bumper for the grille and such. I'll post pictures when I get home later since I can't access my photobucket at work.

Im very interested in this after seeing a few pics on 8L's :faint: The links above don't seem to work. Does anyone know of where I can get hold of one? Doesn't have to been perfect condition as my local bodyshop can prep it all
 
Is there anywhere I can get the s3tuning.de one? That's the only one I really like
 
As above even though that rieger is similar it still doesn't look OEM enough for me!
 
i have a reiger and i think works well. i think the rs4 looks much better with the splitter
 
Will original rs4 bumpers fit? with some cutting? or any links to oem looking rs4 bumpers for the s3?
 
Actually I remember a loooong time ago, that you could buy just the side vents. Then you could just keep your existing bumper (which is better quality) but you could still get that RS4 look.
