Theres a thread in the meets events ( i know most of the 8p S3 drivers hang around here , so may not of spotted it ) forum.

http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/showthread.php?t=48994

Is there any S3 8p drivers up for it?

Theres places left , theres only one other 8p S3's running we need more to compare against each other!

If the S3 8p boys wanted to set up there own RR day at Awesome , lets get it on!

Thanks

p

One last place left for the day!

Come on S3 8p boys get on it!

Sat 8th of March

p

Two place's left for this , come S3/A3 8p owners lets have it!

Should be a really good day, put face's to names , a couple of members will be bringing Vag-Com down to do your wants, and last but not least it's my birthday!!!!!!!!!!!! 36 years young , and to make me look even older i'm DJ-in till 4am fri night/sat morning! come on!

Bring the wife , make a day of it, couple of hours at the RR then nip over to the Trafford centre for her indoors?

Anybody whos thinking of modding there car in future would be wise to get a base plot before they start modding , on some independent rollers!

Might be worth you paying the £45 to get a second opinion as Awesome are very good and will do some dyno plots for you so you can 'see' the exact points of hesitation. The RR days are an excellent way of getting free advice/pointers whilst your cars on the rollers.

I'm already booked in at Regal Autosport on Sat, but from what I've read I'm pretty confident its a sparkplug/coilpack issue, but I'll see what Chris says.

What? Just the two of us in 8P S3s? What happened to everyone else?

Are you up for it JohnS3? As you'll be coming down anyway, you might as well see what yours is putting out now.

It's me, you , spin140 and S3IZZO ( i don't know if S3IZZO is still on for it )

Come on JohnS3 and Johnnyb

May be worth sending the guys a PM in case not logged on.

It would be good if we could get an assortment of colours too, LOL :)

I'll need an early slot, will arrive around 09:00 but have to get off by 12:00 ltest as off to Norfolk for the weekend now, a bit of a double booking but didn't want to miss the dyno day.

Mmmmm tempting. But as my son is about to make his first appearance in this world I might be a little busy elsewhere.

I might be able to make it on the day, but don't want to book onto the rollers and inconvenience anyone in case I can't make it over. Will just have so see how it all pans out towards the end of the week.

Congrats John.

The trip is tempting, though I might come in friday night and just bunk in a cheap hotel.
Anyone want to be my tourguide?

Thanks Boggy-san!

You had to bring beer into it, oh the torture!!!! (not had a drink for a while....)

Yes i'm still coming :)

Thats great, we have 2-3 STD S3's running ( LOUAY is coming i think ) 1 GIAC Hammer and 1 REVO be great to look at the plots!

Lovely!

Can anyone confirm the running order ?

Be good if we can do the S3 8P's together but I will have to go on early as need to off no later than 12:00, is everyone happy to do the S3's first ?

I don't mind who goes where as long as I can get off around lunchtime but It should be up to Aky as he's organised it all. Don't forget it's not just an S3 rolling road day, so it doesn't make us any less important!

Yeah I'm going first - then I can be back home and in bed for 10.30 and you lot can sort yourselves out.

I'm going to ring Awesome this Arvo and tell them the crack! (sorry probably a lot of Yorkshire lingo in this reply)

Oh crikey i can see how this sounds now I've re-read it, sorry !

I wasn't implying S3 are any better or worse than any other Audi just don't want to back out and let anyone down hence the arly slot request, I'm driving from the Midlands to manchester then back to the Midlands to change cars and off to Norfolk for the weekend so under pressure time wise. Also I know the other S3 guys are keen to see the cars back to back as some are considering remaps, if its an issue for Awesome or Aky I may have to take a rain check asI don't want to put anyone out - its a grouop day afterall :(

No worries Spin, you can't drop out as I for one am looking forward to seeing yours on the rollers:yum:

Still no baby so I might just see you all there tomorrow for an hour or so.

Have a good day everyone, really looking forwar to seeing the results of this one

so how did you guys get on with the rolling road?

Heres the plot , they couldn't do a flywheel/clutch reading running in 4WD.

My car is std , so i'm very happy with the results:thumbsup:

Yeah nice result Lee:). No need to go for Spins GIAC "toffee" hammer map!

To say an S3 is only supposed to be 15 bhp or so more than my 3.2 I'd say it was more like 40 in real terms!!:crying: ........Still at least I've got the soundtrack:music:

How did the mappd S3s get on? Would like to know more about the toffee hammer gag??

From what I can remember the remapped 8P's made better figures than standard. GIAC and REVO I think were similar, but the 2 standard S3's made well above expected. Difficult to tell though with no clutch figures. My best guess would be standard cars make more than stated and remappers include this in their gains!

Yeah, the one thing I'm missing!

Good to meet you anyway, I'll have to keep an eye out for you in future. Did you enjoy it, and your trip to the Trafford Centre?

Same to everyone else. Great to meet you all, I think we owe Aky a drink or two for organising it!

Yeah, cheers Matt:applaus: Trafford centre was a nightmare, lasted an hour.

^^^^^^^^ I had a Mk 2 Leon Cupra , 237bhp std , but they were making 260bhp-ish , the same with Ed 30 making 250-ish, so it makes sence that the S3 would make 280-ish std.

They all remap to 300+

p

Just a shame that they had to take it straight back off again. :sorry:

There's always the option of leaving it on:)
Would be interesting to see what sort of plots the APR map could do if they did a few more pulls.

Btw, nice LEDs.
