You did reattach the little arms for the level sensor on the passenger side front and back

Yeah that’s what I thought, but they are both in tact and back together as they should be after fitting lowering springs and dampers. Unsure if the lowering could affect it?

Lowering shouldn’t effect it mines lowered 25mm and still does it on start up

Without sounding like I’m taking the **** you did plug them in

This is good, when I get home in 10days you lot will have hopefully sorted all the teething issues and I'll be well versed in how to set these things up

@Alex C, I'm happy to have it back and sort, so its the Indicator reflector that is causing the problem?

Send me a PM but all I will need back is the light, indicator bulb, and holder, wont need nothing else back.

have you still got the cable tie and ball joint?

@Gonzokew, if you struggle I will have that one back also to sort.

Update on my headlights and fitting experience:

I had to take apart the adjuster motors and move the encoder (its on a slider) whilst plugged in to get the motor shaft to extend to its max position. Once this is done you can hook the ball end onto the socket.

I managed to get the manual adjuster connected into the socket with some long nose pliers and a bit of patience. Got them adjusted at the garage and it's now passed the mot.

Drove home in the dark last night and have to say... These lights are amazing :)

Such a great upgrade. I've bought 2 sets of second hand headlights over the years only for the adjusters to break or they fade etc. I know now I don't have to spend any money on them again and they're 10 times better than the factory ones.

Great job trups

Glad you got them sorted :footy:

Is there anything I should look out for before I fit my set to the car to make sure they're operating as they should? Don't particularly want to have to take them off and re-fit them if I can help it!!

@t8ups what do you mean cable tie a ball joint? Don’t remember seeing those when I got my set.

I've been thinking the same thing wondering if I threw something away that I shouldn't have :tearsofjoy:

@t8ups Yeah I had a cable tie attached to the reflector and then to a piece of plastic the other end. I thought it was just packaging, what does it do?

just packaging, holds the reflector tight for transit, that should be removed once your ready to fit and is not needed while the lights are in the car.

Ok cool, thanks mate that clears that up, mine are now working spot on - required a new rear headlight level sensor due to a bodge done by a garage.

I emailed @t8ups this morning to find out bout the last paint ones. As I don't think he really follows the thread but no reply yet. If I get one and he hasn't answered on here I'll let you know what I find out.

He's probably waiting for these to come back from the paint shop. Then he's got to put them back together. Well worth the wait . I was in the first group buy, these headlights are brilliant patience

We have been try to get answers during the week aswell but have had no joy. We just want to know what's happening.
On the 27th Feb we where told they would be ready by the end of that week but nothing and that's the last communication we have had.

Hydro, I have not had an email? where did you send it to.

Trims I got back from the body shop but I was not impressed as there where a flaws in Trim 1's, its like the clear coat reacted to something and bubbled up, trim 2 are perfect so brang them back.

I went in last week and got told Friday they would be done but he was running behind and only managed to fully sand back the 1st coat that reacted, I am told this morning they are been painted tonight so I can collect Tuesday.

Now, I cant rush him and push him as the price that he does me on paint work is too good, if I say push it through before other jobs then I would end up paying him more than its worth doing this stuff, I know that's not your fault but I'm trying to be as quick as I can but been fair. I need the last 4 sets gone, believe me, I'm not holding onto them, I would rather the 7 shelfs that these lamps are taking up to be freed up from these lights split.

Will update tomo night.

Ta.

Fitted them today well pleased with them. They make the car look a better and there nice and bright. The light faded to much for me to get a good picture so I'll get one in the morning and stick it up. Just one question I had a lead that doesn't seem to connect to anything what did people do with this when they fitted them?

Can someone please tell me if I'm doing this wrong? Am trying to adjust these headlights and need to know they're not too high as people keep flashing me for blinding them.

Parked 7.6m from a dark wall. Dipped headlights set at 1m in height and 1m apart. That sound right to everyone else?
