I'm Sorry for the disappeared images, seems like the site i used has issues.

and here's little update.
Downpipe in fabrication.

Custom 'J Pipe' ready to go in action.

huge fat Air Filter
IMG_4078.jpg

Intercooler & Front bumper, waiting
IMG_4081.jpg

Note: Don't pay attention to the engine in detail, the car was laying outside for 3 months with half opened bonnet in not so good conditions in huge open field area, waiting for its turn to come.

Down pipe is done, soon we turn the key.
IMG_4090.jpg

IMG_4091.jpg

It starts with 63mm from the down pipe with screamer pipe and after the flex pipe goes 76mm all the way to the back, then we end with custom muffler from JS-Design (Bulgaria)

Engine returned its place today, final touches here and there and christmas tree lights up.
Attaching the downpipe to the turbo and putting the gasket inbetween was pain in the a**, but all good my mechanic is bolt & nuts guru.

Seems like I like to keep the viewers in touch. I'm sorry If the taken pictures are not exciting, but I like to keep the situation in tension.
Almost everything back in Its place. I can't wait to take It away and put my hand on It, because couple of things need to be organized, Heatshield, Catch Can, colors here and there etc.. and the bay is DONE.
The only thing I'm worried about Is that the car Is running Bosch 650 cc's right now. Tomorrow, we should fire her up after 4 months of brake.
My mechanic Is a bit skeptical As and I am about the bigger Injectors without mapping, but who knows... Fingers crossed..
After that, all the gauges should be mounted, mounting the exhaust and we're done.
In worst case, I'm calling recovery and with it I'm going to the tuner.

nice work, different.
I've always been different from the rest no matter what Initiative I take and always do It unintentionally and I like the fact some people notice that!
Thank you!

Ooooooo

So loud. I thought mine was loud. Haha. At least I have two resonators. Yours. Nothing.

The long awaited-day has finally come true! I'm speechless.
During the test drive, whilst i was behind the wheel my mechanic was playing with the boost controller. We did couple of test pulls and everything seemed okay for now, without tune. First pulls were at 0.5 after that slowly he started to raise up the boost a little, we did couple of pulls on 0.7 and we end up with 1bar. After all the impression i received as and my mechanic, he did ask me, do you want to push it a little more. And then this Comment Pops up in my head
UntitledyGmIz0IAjyR48ZQ4kRv01517481160.jpg

Of course I denied, we played enough russian roulette. We turn back to the shop, everything been checked twice and they send me away by this way.

And of course I could not stand it... later that night 0.7bar no tune 1st-2nd-3rd,4th 10-200km/h

I know i risk things go wrong that way.. but put yourself in my place it's been 4 long and a half months...

Well, i couldn't find words to Thank my mechanic... i just say to him "THANK YOU" and i gave him handshake I'll never forget with what emotion he started the Build and with what emotion and excitement he gave me the car!!!

Today, i'm going to the Tuner to arrange thing up and later today i'm going back to the shop to check things up again and finish some others.
Seems like, the two heater hoses that came off the block going into the car, broke once again under the load of boost. Had same drama last summer after Engine rebuild.

I don't know if i have to announce that, but the car suffered little accident this Friday at 22:49 PM... Luckily no one of four of us inside was injured.
It all happened, for about an second because of my inattention, on just now open very tight road...Well, road signs were left on the roadbed.... which signs take most of the space... We were going with about 25mph, just left the gas station... about 20 seconds later I take my 'aux' cable and gave it to the passenger to play music from his phone... maybe 5 seconds later, he asked me ( why is the cable around the gear knob ) I looked down to see, i just held the cable... and then in the next moment untimely My best friend which was sitting on the rear just behind me said "BRO" ( he has tried to reach out the steering wheel ) in the next moment, I lift my stupid head up and all it was like a in f****** dream... with the hit of the 1st road sign I instantly turned left... and escaped the F****** TRASH BIN WHICH WAS BEHIND THE FIFTH ROAD SIGN I PUSH DOWN FROM THE HIT.... ALL THIS IS LEFTED ON THE ROADBED .... Anyways, like I already said. Luckily no one was injured. Car of mates which were behind us, were thinking WHAT THE HELL I'M DOING, why i'm going this way... The car fly about 2 meters high front and back on the right side, my side, drivers side.. If those stupid signs were on the sidewalk, or taken away...That would not happen or at least i would have time to react.

Well, I wait for the car four and a half months and two days later i crashed it... At first look things are not that scary, but trust me.. the hit was serious enough to get the car off the road for good amount of time once again... PS: Airbags didn't pop out which is good thing.

The car is returned to the shop.. forthcoming moment tomorrow.. when my mechanic see the car...

So far what's needed from first look...

Bumper to be fixed or New one..
Fender to be fixed or New one..
Fender liner to be fixed or New one..
Back peace of Side Skirt to be fixed with plastic welding
Steering Tie Rod New one, probably and more.. no idea in what condition Steering Rack is right now..
Subframe, one of the back bolts looked like is a bit deformed..
Wheels need to be refurbished anyways...
New tyre.. Probably gonna buy second hand, to match the lefted thread on mines...
Under drivers door the chassi sill is smashed a little bit... from the concrete block that holds the road sign...
New Coilovers most likely.... The body of the 'Coilover' looked a bit deformed where it is hold to the hub..

Otherwise, a part from that the car is fine! The most expensive things are not touched.. No funny noises from the engine or something till this moment.

Wow, that must've been quite a blow... Glad everyone is ok, a car is just metal and plastic, that's all replaceable.

Sorry to hear this, distractions whilst driving are a key cause of accidents. Some young people insurance in the UK include passengers not allowed after a curfew time and things like this. I still think my son crashed changing his music as it was 3 days after I fitted an aux cable to his car. Best of luck fixing your car.

ahhhh that's no good mate :(

most important thing is everyone is ok, maybe a little shaken up, but we live and learn.

best of luck fixing it all up.

We’re you mugged for your shoe laces during the commotion of your crash???

The Police always remove them before placing you in the cell,or in an asylum if you own a S3!

Luckily, no police arrived... the fine is 200BGN.. approximately 92GBP.. and deprivation 1 month from driver license, I think.. and who knows what else..

At least you're ok mate, that's the main thing, you'll soon have it back lighting up the tyres no doubt.

What you guys do think about Eibach Coilovers, should i go this route?
There's cheap brand new Ta-Technix which i can buy to use temporarily, also.

Subframe, wishbone and driveshaft are gonna be on its way tomorrow.
Probably new bushes where's needed and new steering tie rod, for sure.
I'll drop the Bumper to be fixed, fender also.
Have to take the wheel to be refurbished, i find second tyre also.
Side skirt will be taken for plastic welding and then we're going for alignment!

I had 3 options today to think of... Of course I guess I choose the right way. I love that car at the bottom of my soul. I can't leave it just like that for parts.... or Fix her and sold her to someone else.
It's been long two years with her, It's hard enough to watch her in that condition..

With the help of My Dad and My Best Friend i'll be able to bring it back!
Just now I really do understand the sentimental value of that vehicle.
Before i bought her, i had A3 8L 1.8T which I sold four weeks later, it didn't last long.
That S3 8L is the first S3 which I actually saw on live and just fall in love with it.

Consequences:

wow you did a good amount of damage there :(

hope you are able to readily get the parts!

As for the suspension - spend a little more and get better quality eibach's over the cheap ones. He ride quality will be head and shoulders above if you were to go the cheap option.... but then again you may be on a budget. So... whatever you can afford ?

Well, i'll probably get the Eibach Pro-Street-S Its made by KW it sounds reliable. We would try to fix temporarily my Coil, till I get the new ones.

I received a great offer from a Guy that has imported RHD S3 Facelift breaked for parts - Front Subframe, Wishbone and Driveshaft for 140 BGN which equals 63 GBP, delivered. New CV Joint's plus the Tie Rod for another 45 GBP 40% off. I have been quoted around 100 GBP for labour.
Fixing the Bumper gonna cost 90 GBP with some improvements (That's secret :witless:)
Fixing the fender 18 GBP

Needed parts in relation of the suspension already collected and dropped to start the work.
Bumper, fender and rear cup part of the side skirt also dropped for repair. Also, seems like the side skirt has nothing to do with plastic, it is made of pressed polyurethane material. Now I get why they're so expensive.

Stay tuned, she's coming back!

PS: Sorry about that i did not take any pictures, i had busy day, today.. going around. I was amazed at how practical it was the Colt of a pal. It Takes the Bumper and the Fender of the S3 with no issue and closed trunk. It's like living room inside.

NEW SUBFRAME HAS THOSE UPRATED BUSHES ON

That's committed for sure. It puts my selling my S3 and buying a TT, because the clutch is shot to shame.
Looking forward again to the re-emergence of black-dog.

Old Hub has ten tenths curvature, new Hub was needed, luckily there was in stock second hand.
For those who don't know, be careful if you're about to change your Inner CV Joints. Seems like most of the Car Parts Shops, had no idea what they're selling. What we've found today is that the Inner CV Joint Diameter is 110mm for S3 8L... Most of the Shops sell 96mm or 100mm which has nothing to do with the Original One. And that's by OEM VIN Number.... I opened eBay for reference and i found same ***t
I don't like the incompetent folks

Today, I received unexpected call with good news. I was on the way to the shop with the Fender anyway. She's alive! Healthy and ready for war, like never before :racer:
I bring her back home, now we're waiting for the Wheel to be fixed and then we're going for alignment. Bad thing the coil has been fixed, but not for long... Need new Suspension, if i want to push her in long term period.

New Subframe
New Hub
New Wishbone
New Driveshaft
New Tie Rod
New CV Joints
New Ball Joint
