Spring will be different depending on engine size, quattro & model year etc.

Car just crossed 60k miles. Need service done soon. What should I look at while servicing other than changing all filters along with oil?

Interim service done at 62k.

Technician advised Coolant is very discoloured and contaminated. Need full system flush. Price quoted is £167. Is this reasonable or I'm better off to get it done somewhere else.

Also air bag light is on and vagcom shows it's passenger seat belt tensioner. I had wiring check and all seems ok. Audi wants £490 for part only (tech said it's complete seat belt needs replacing as ignitor doesn't come seperate) plus labour.

Last but not least there was alot of oil underneath but engine oil levels are fine. Audi advise to clean the underneath for £60 and drive for 100 miles and get it checked again.

Mate of mine had this done on his BiTDI whe they were investing his oil / EGR cooler

From what I recall about what he told me It is a 3 stage product and involves driving inbetween each stage to help circulate the cleaning agents

If its discoloured though then you may have a problem with the EGR cooler :( my mate had his replaced by Audi. Luckily for him his after market warranty picked up the £900 bill.....

Can’t help about the seatbelt

Yeah I had the same with mine but it doesn’t use a drop of oil. Mine goes in for a service on Monday so I’ll see what gets reported. Not using Audi mind!

What exactly did they do as part of the interim service? Mine is a similar age and mileage as yours. The oil was changed in Nov 2016.

Thanks in advance

For some reason, car phone book is showing duplicate contacts. How can this be sorted? Some contacts are like 3 or 4 times

For last three tanks I'm using shell v power and fuel consumption has dropped massively. My driving style hasn't changed and I got around 260 miles out of each tank whereas before use to get 350

This might be down to the cold weather (I can always see the drop on my 3.0)...
On the other hand I usually go 1 full tank of Nitro+ then one of the regular diesel from Esso. Never noticed anything different.
