.............nope, not a scooby doo!!
When I followed the original link the Audi website on my pc it still said "New A3 range brochures will be available to download soon." It was only when I looked later that the Price List was available for download hence my post. Still it's available now so we can all download a copy. The only problem for me is the model I want is listed but not yet available - the 2.0TDI - 184 s-tronic quattro.Looks like the same as the one I posted yesterday but some people thought it was not correct.
That will please those who won't use there washers in case the headlamp washers spray a little water on to their nice clean car !!No it isn't if the lumens is below 2000, many cars now do not have these fitted..

I am not surprised, dealers wrongly push out diesels, buyer wrongly chose them. There is an obsession with buying a diesel engine'd car for some reason.
I agree that a diesel engine is not right for everyone but I have my last five cars (all A3s) have been diesel and I've been quite happy with them. I now do around 14k miles a year including 4-5k on holiday in Europe where diesel is considerably cheaper than petrol. The last four of my diesels have done around 36-38k miles and I have never had any problems with the DPF, if fact I have had no idea one is fitted. My current car is a 2.0TDI - 184 s-tronic quattro and I am getting around 43-44mpg for normal everyday motoring and on my last holiday I got 50mpg and that was including some very fast autobahn driving. I've had 19 petrol engined cars before the diesels, four of which were A3s. I will test drive the new 2.0TFSI-190 version of the A3 but I doubt if it will change my mind. I like the way a diesel engine behaves and I like the mpg I'm getting and see no reason to change.Been through this recently with 2 friends looking at new cars.. 'Oh i'll get a deisel, the economy is so much better!'... You live 5 minutes from work.. Any economy gains you make (very little, if any) will be outweighed by a DPF replacement in 2 months time! Mis-information overload!

Take it back they might give you a good deal on a trade in
TX.
I assume it's because it's a petrol engine but the 2.0TFSI has the new 7-speed s-tronic but the 2.0 TDI-184 is still listed as having the 6-speed s-tronic. Perhaps it's related to the engine speed for maximum power and torque available from each engine - 2.0 TFSI 190bhp at 4200-6000. 2.0TDI - 184bhp at 1500-4000. 2.0 TFSI 320Nm at 1500-4200 2.0 TDI 380Nm at 1750-3250.Another review http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-review/audi/a3/first-drives/2016-audi-a3-sportback-20-tfsi-sport-review this time of the new 2.0l engine. I don't know why they are making the distinction in cost though between the lower output diesel with the older six speed stronic and the higher output petrol with the new seven speed...
Also a test of the 1.0 three pot engine http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/audi/a3/61554/new-audi-a3-sportback-2016-review
And the cabriolet s3 http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/audi/s3/86234/new-audi-s3-cabriolet-2016-review
If you compare the 1.4 petrol with the 1.6 the petrol is £100 cheaper, in saloon form. As far as I understand it is usually engines with the same power output compared. Maybe you are right but autocar are over complicating it because pricing of the 184 diesel has yet to be released.I assume it's because it's a petrol engine but the 2.0TFSI has the new 7-speed s-tronic but the 2.0 TDI-184 is still listed as having the 6-speed s-tronic. As it is I'm more than happy with the 6-speed in my current 184 and don't really see the need for a 7-speed.
Is this the proper brochure or price list? If it's the brochure any chance you could share with the masses? I'd love to have a look at the a3 Saloon brochure! My dealer has just emailed me a copy of the new brochure for the a3 s3 saloon...so I'm now specing up my car with even more extras on than last time..
Care to share on a free hosting site?My dealer has just emailed me a copy of the new brochure for the a3 s3 saloon...so I'm now specing up my car with even more extras on than last time..
That's the price list though, I'm wondering if he has the proper brochure, I'm a picture kinda guyGo to the link I posted earlier (post #1063) and download your own copy!
If Audi Germany is anything to go by together with the 'brochure' for the new A4 the download version is all that seems to be available. I agree its not as good as the previous versions.
I don't know if Audi UK will produce anything else but there is a 'picture' brochure on the Audi Germany website at www.audi.de, select the A3 and then the model and click on Preisliste und Katatog there is a small brochure. Click on middle Katalog bestellan and you can download a copy.
The dealer config website now shows Matrix LED's and Virtual Cockpit.
The Technology Package works in conjunction with the Matrix headlights, folding door mirrors without the dimming are best,l ain't going down the Technology Package again,l optioned it previously because it gave you the larger higher resolution screen, the larger screen is now standard?Virtual cockpit is listed in the configuration as £450, but this is moot since when you select it it says you can't have it without also having advanced tech pack at £1395. Virtual cockpit is included in advanced tech pack, so it's actually £400 assuming you were having the £995 tech pack anyway, and I can't think of a reason why you wouldn't want the tech pack.
LED matrix is £895, but it includes the £125 auto dimming rear mirror, so assuming you were having that anyway (I am), it's £770.
Interestingly selecting LED matrix lights disables the option of selecting power fold door mirrors with auto dimming. This is in addition to LED matrix being incompatible with the driver assistance pack.
It seems you can have a car that drives itself on ordinary lights, or a car you have to drive on seriously hi tech lights, but not both.
Yes you're right - Katalog laden is the one to go for.Looks to me like Katalog laden is the download bit you need - Katalog bestellan appears to be the postal route
Question : I've never pre ordered a car before and was wondering if the dealer takes your money now when you order it?

Yes you can't have the virtual cockpit without the tech pack because for the cockpit to work correctly you need the tech pack, same as other models in the range. Also the price you quote for the tech pack includes the cockpit as it is £995 without. The matrix headlamp are linked to the sat nav so the headlamps can be positioned for any corners. The matrix lights should not be able to disable the option for the folding mirrors because you can get these on other models, so there might still be errors with the configurator.Virtual cockpit is listed in the configuration as £450, but this is moot since when you select it it says you can't have it without also having advanced tech pack at £1395. Which dealer website as it isn't on the main Audi one with the saloon...The dealer config website now shows Matrix LED's and Virtual Cockpit.
