Feva's A4 Black Edition

Both lovely colours but Monza Silver is better! ;-) lol Uploadfromtaptalk1397069280075

All this look this colour it's the best, no this colour is the best isn't helping at all chaps. More confused than ever.
Give up looking for the day I need vodka.

Cheers ScottishS3!:).. I know what you mean feva, I was the same when looking for my Audi! I originally was looking for White, but once I spotted this and it ticked all my boxes I went for it! I get alot of people passing comment on the colour, not too many around my way! :)

Just having the very same discussion with the erindoors, think I'm driving her up the wall with all this car talk. Found a few 1 white 1 black (but also found a couple of bmws I like, don't call me I know it's an audi forum).

Dont worry about the petrol drivers telling you diesels are trouble.

Nobody is doing that! Just merely pointing out some common problems reported by some owners on here! Nobody is knocking the diesel.

If the diesel is the powerplant you fancy, would the 3.0 TDI be out of the question? They seem to highly regarded by their owners.

The 3.0 is unfortunately out of my price range Scottish.

.....well you say that, but I'll be selling my 2011 3.0TDi fully loaded, Quartz grey, black edition end of may / June??

But I'm guessing you want a saloon?

EDIT:
My current bmw is is all oem and mint condition (with a lot of tlc from me) small mods possibly but with a wife two kids a dog and several goldfish modding is a but down the list.

Sound like you need an Avant !

Sorry, couldn't resist the shameless plug!

Cheers
Keef

Hey can't fault you for trying, maybe if it wasn't an avant keef.

Seen a black one nice spec but rotor alloys (still looks nice and I'm coming round to them) but it's miles and miles away! Why couldn't it be next door?

Ha ha oh well!

I spec'd segmented (potato peelers) wheels on my current car as I hate the titanium finish rotor alloys.
My new car will have rotors, but day 1, they will be going off to get redone in Hyper silver as IMO that colour looks best.

I feel your pain mate, hopefully you'll find the right one soon

Was looking originally at the 170bhp model, what's the thoughts on the 138bhp instead?

Audi A4 2.0 TDI 136 Black Edition 4dr S/S [Leather

Looks the part - cheap road tax too!
Seems expensive to me for what it is - no nav.

Personally I cant comment on the 138bhp, but I'm sure a few guys on here will be able to.

Minus the black edition alloys I bought mine for £19k from an Audi dealer with only 9800 miles on the clock.
I would agree, that does seem quite pricey

Cheers lads wasn't sure if it was just me, the markets not flooded with them at the mo.

Keep searching..................

How ya gone on with your search? I've been doing a bit of car searching myself and going to test drive a 2012 merc C63 AMG :) 6.3ltr 457bhp in red so I bet my A4 will be for sale as of tomorrow lol

Not going very well at the mo Si, seen a few just not the right one at the mo.
Dont shout at me but seen a nice bmw .
Away with work at the mo signal no exsistant pain in the ****.
Message me your cars specs mate and price you after and ill read it when i get a decent signal oh and some photos if poss mate.

But searching for cars is not a pleasurable thing.

I know how you feel, searching for 2 weeks felt like 2 months to me.
All these cars were never the right spec, and if they were it was too expensive.

I had to compromise an S-tronic automatic for a manual to get the car I wanted.

Just something about it that put me off the inside was wasn't very nice at all, the running costs were a bit off putting too and I like the Audi don't even know why I am looking at other cars just yet when I haven't even owned this one 12 months lol

Been the same with me looking lately they've all not got something right with them.

Yeah I don't even know why I am looking at them, I need a practical car to run, as I have my silly fast toy I need a cheap to run car and I like the Audi so I'm not looking at them anymore it was just a spur of the moment thing and I've always wanted to have a drive in one, I have now so my mind has been eased lol. How's your search going? I'm thinking of having mine wrapped now maybe RS4 blue like this one.

That is a nice blue, heard some good things about getting wrapped off bmw forum I'm on.

Car searching going that slowly I'm almost going backwards.

Hi

We have just got a black edition A4 2.0TDI S Tronic Quattro , no extras, straight out of the tin and the car is awesome. Wish it had the lighting pack on but it but might retro fit it.

The car is Ibis White and I thought about the Daytona Grey but in the end really wanted white and am so glad we did. One thing that I was amazed at is that on the saloon there is no factory tint so paid for that myself just to finish the look.

Cheers

Holy thread revival!

Well chaps

I've still hung around the edges of the forum as the wife has a a3 black edition.

But 2years ago bought this 10 plate 3 series m sport

41e9b96fcb80ae5baf9e182089c18f6a.jpg

Loved it at the time full leather, nav.
Tinted windows, changed alloys colour to black and fitted oem gloss black grills.

As I always do kept it really clean and oem-ish.
But even when owning it always found myself still glancing at audis just couldn't find one at the time.

Fast forward 2yrs and the engine it had 2l n47 started to suffer with the dreaded timing chain issue. Which I was told by main dealers at the time had been sorted by late 09, apparently not. So either foot the bill for sorting it as the chains at the back of the engine (I know wise move bmw) engine and gearbox out job.

So moved onto to this 2 days ago

64e76cac07fa43d2aee6d315d1837f91.jpg

13 plate 19k immaculate condition 2.0tdi.

Unfortunately no nav couldn't find one with nav anywhere near me, but willing to give this up for DAB! Hasn't got the lighting pack which is no big issue.

It was the condition and the price I got for mine and the price I got this for this I was sold.

Had its first big run yesterday and I must say what a difference from the bmw, completely different beast. So so lovely to drive just pulls and pulls.

So there we are I'm finally an audi Teesside member.

Look forward to reading all about them and hopefully meeting a few lads of here.

Well worth the wait Mark, your new Audi is stunning, enjoy.

Cheers mate appreciated.

Need my rear windows tinted what have people been paying?

Ordered some pressed plates. And a new set of mats as the ****** dealership has only put the wrong front passenger mat in, and they are 2hrs away from me so not driving back and I can't see them posting it up.

Can't wait for my first wash of it snow foam gun at the ready.

Oh while I think on has anyone fitted a dash cam? Went to fit mine yesterday and discovered the cigarette lighter fuse is in the boot. I normally tap into this with a piggyback fuse holder. So tried a few near the dash and only managed to trigger the steering alignment fault light!

Reset it by holding wheel full lock left 10secs then full right 10secs, to say I was pee'd off was an understatement.

I can live without Sat Nav being fitted into car, I just use my own that I can get updates for for (its) lifetime - handy as long as I remember to put it in that car.
From contact with other family members that have Sat Nav installed in their cars, I'm amazed that few of them use them for up to the minute traffic jam avoidance purposes, ie "which way would you go at this time of day?" - I'd put the destination in and let the Sat Nav do the rest.

That was a bit of a nuisance triggering that alarm/warning, my wife has told me that I don't need a dash cam - how annoying is that?

Thing is how many times do you actually actively use it? Mine in the bmw not many. Just had it switched on to show traffic which by that point you normally stuck in.

Would of been nice but there's even that many apps as well I use sygic which is great but I'm going to try waze which is free and shows traffic. So again no great loss nav. Plus always have the TomTom to fall back on.

If you do a search for info on window tints & dash cams in search engine above, you'll find all the info your looking for, I'm sure a few members have done these mods.

When I had my A4, I think I paid around £80, from a friend though, to get windows tinted, my dash cams are just plugged into 12v socket in centre arm rest on my A5, haven't got round to hard wiring them as yet.

I fitted one into my bmw after a roundabout accident that was clearly not my fault, even had council cctv showing accident which showed me in the correct lane etc..

Took 18months to sort but after that dash cam straight in the car, the best most reassuring thing to fit. Didn't get one that shows speed but piece of mind if ever needed.

I'd rather have one and not need it than not have one and be in an accident where it would prove valuable.

This is mine very small and discreet

Cheers will search around for tinting.

I hard wired mine in so it's all neat and tucked out of the way.

I'll have to find an auto electrician for price don't fancy triggering anything else.

I'll post price once I find one.

Pretty easy to hardwire.

From the fusebox near the drivers door hinge, up the inside off the door rubber, under the A post airbag, poke through to the interior light hole. I put an inline ciggy lighter socket on the interior light end, plenty of gap between roof lining and roof to put it. Then run the lead for the camera through the edge of the lining. Hardly any wire on show :)
Use one of these to piggy back off an ignition live fuse

then use the nearby nut for earth.

I got my tints done at Black Glass Tints in Harrogate. He has done 2 cars for me, also does them for Harrogate Audi. Makes a really tidy job.

Cheers mate. How much did he charge if you dont mind me asking.
And what level of tint did you go for? Want oem which on the bmw was 20‰ iirc.

Tried the interior light fuse but it was powering the camera whilst ignition off? Want a feed that only powers whilst ignition on.

I did not use the interior light fuse! I used a fuse which was ignition live. In the fuse box.
